• Assist with preparation of month-end and quarter-end management reports (eg flux analysis).
• Support annual standard cost reroll/revaluation exercises and perform cost simulation
• Perform ad-hoc standard costs update as needed
• Review and ensure inventory transactions are approved and performed in accordance with Finance policies and procedures
• Support and lead quarterly review of plant excess inventory and E&O reserve
• Assists with annual physical counts and daily cycle counts activities, including preparation, cutoffs, audit of counts, reconciliations and publish count accuracy reports.
• Analyze manufacturing overhead data and provides explanations for the cost variances.
• Prepare and publish weekly sales and gross margin analysis, inventory report, manufacturing costs analysis, work order variances and dashboard to business units.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering and supply chain, to analyze cost data and drive business in cost improvement initiatives.
• Report and review gross margins analysis by key customers and product group, partnering with business to identify opportunities for margin improvement, review product cost structures to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
• Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of cost management strategies.
• Support global team to develop and implement effective costing methodologies and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead annual operating plan (AOP/budget) for Singapore manufacturing plant, align budgets with organizational and global goals.
• Support budgeting and financial planning activities by providing cost-related insights.
• Work with business units on resources and capacity planning for manufacturing costs budget.
• Participate in the quarterly business review, perform cost variances analysis against forecast.
• Provide detailed cost reports and forecasts, identifying trends and proposing strategies to minimize cost variances

Others

• Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations.
• Assist with US GAAP, SOX, tax and statutory audits.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and eliminate non-value added activities.
• Partner with IT to resolve and enhance costing system functionalities related to production, purchasing and etc

Requirements

• Recognized degree, ACCA graduate or other equivalent professional accounting qualification
• 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment
• Strong cost accounting knowledge and analytical skills
• Independent, mature, self-motivated and possess ‘can-do’ attitude.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, other data analysis tools and ERP systems (eg Oracle)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate across departments
• High attention to details, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

We will need this talented indiviual to:

• Provide full support to the Senior Banquet Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Banquet Services and day-to-day operations in accordance to the established Standard of Operating Procedures
• Plan duty roster, engage part-timers and ensure that they are deployed according to function needs.
• Work closely with other Managers in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests
• Ensure that all team leaders deliver and provide exceptional guest service at all times
• Establish a rapport with guests to maintain a good customer relationship
• Ensure a high level of excellent service which meets the demands and expectations to all guests and internal customers
• Undertake any other task / duty / assignment that may be assigned by the Senior Banquet Manager and/or the management.

Talent Profile

• A current Assistant Manager / Banquet Manager with 3 years or more experience in managing a Banquet or large Chinese restaurant operation in a local five-star hotel of a similar capacity
• Minimum “O” level or Diploma from a recognized hospitality / tertiary institution
• Be willing to work weekends and public holidays
• High flexibility and adaptability
• Computer skills in Word and Excel would be essential
