About the Role

The Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) Entrepreneurship, Student SUcceSS Centre, is seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager.

What You Will Be Doing

Working closely with the Head (Entrepreneurship), you will develop and conduct entrepreneurship programmes and initiatives.

• Perform gap-analysis on knowledge and skills gaps for entrepreneurial students with special needs

The Nurse Manager leads the team effectively coordinate, manage and evaluate the services of the Home, ensuring that high standards of nursing care and resident safety are delivered at all times in accordance with legal, professional and ENHS (Enhanced Nursing Home Standards) requirements.

1. Clinical

• Accountable and responsible for the standards of resident care and management of the wards.

You will report to the Business Development Manager and will assist to answer questions from customer about our company’s products and/or services.

Delivering information about our company’s offering, understanding potential customer’s needs to pitch for new sales. And support existing customers by helping them to resolve their service issue, determining the root cause, rectifying the necessary and explanation or addressing the matter if required. Contact relevant internal stakeholder to rectify and then clarifying with customer, quickly escalate the situation internally for customer if necessary, and follow up with internal stakeholder and customer until customer issue has been resolved.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate for sales team by managing schedules, filing confidential documents and communicating important and relevant information.
• Price update to internal stakeholders and system. (Monthly, quarterly or new model)
• Update sales performance (weekly) and record sales department KPI
• Generate reports (Weekly & monthly basis)
• Communicate and coordinate with internal departments on sales planning
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries, manage all incoming customer queries, issues or grievances with patience, positivity and professionalism over the phone and/or via emails;
• Keep records of customer interactions, record details of inquiries or complaints and actions taken by relevant colleagues;
• Follow up to ensure that appropriate actions were taken on customers' issues or requests and that customer issue has been revolved successfully;
• Report unresolved customer grievances or special requests to Business Development Manager for further investigations
• Communicate with customers to chase payment for unpaid invoices while maintaining professionalism and strong customer relationships.
• Any other ad-hoc duties.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate / O’ Level / NITEC or recognised diploma in a related field;
• Minimum 1 year of experience in similar position;
• Experience in international movements of goods, freight forwarding or logistics industry would be an added advantage;
• Excellent communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Mature, detail oriented & well organized; able to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Good team player, positive attitude and willing to learn;
• Skilled in working cross culturally and in developing relationships with colleagues;
• Preferably Junior Executive Level

Job Description:

• Project Management: Day-to-day client servicing, leading team and overseeing the end-to-end management of conference events, including conceptualisation, planning, budgeting, logistics, and execution;

• Conference agenda curation: Identify and invite high-profile speakers, ensuring alignment with conference objectives. Research and develop engaging sessions, including scheduling presentation timings and overall conference agenda;
• Budget Tracking: Develop and manage project budgets, track and monitor project expenditures, maintain accurate records of expenses, review invoices, and conduct financial planning/analysis;
• Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest level of quality in conference and events deliverables, including production, audio-visual, catering, décor, and overall guest experience. Drive and conduct post-event evaluations with internal teams and clients, and implement improvements for future projects;
• Industry Knowledge: Drive sales activities through conference event proposals and pitching, including keeping up to date with evolving market and business issues in critical industries;
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and proactively develop contingency plans. Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements throughout the event planning process;
• New Business: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities. Conduct market research, lead in presentations, and prepare proposals to acquire new clients. Build a strong network of industry contacts to generate leads and foster business growth.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Marketing/Project Management/Business Administration/Communications, or its equivalent) from an accredited college or university;
• At least 5 years of relevant agency experience in commercial B2B conference events management, with a keen interest in business and understanding of commercial drivers;
• Interest, knowledge and experience of the beauty, luxury, fashion and hospitality industry would be a plus
• Proactive and strategic approach to problem-solving, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Adaptability and flexibility in managing unforeseen challenges;
• Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of leading teams to deliver exceptional results. Ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor team members in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
