Position Overview

The Test Manager will work across all projects, having responsibility for the management, development and delivery of testing capability into projects that are managed across platforms. The incumbent will prepare and review test cases based on the technical specifications and overall project deliverables. He/she will prepare the overall project test strategy, manage and track all testing activities, as well as providing the project support throughout a software development life cycle project. He/she will also be in charge of ensuring quality testing/quality assurance of project delivery. He/she will be working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following:

• Define, execute and monitor the overall project test strategy. Keeping overall track of the scope of testing by measuring the test progress and evaluating the results
• Ensuring alignment to existing organization processes and project management framework
• Prepare and maintain test specifications and test scripts (test scope, test scenarios, test conditions, test cases, test data and traceability matrix) as per the Functional Specifications and timeline
• Review test specifications, test scripts and test results. Execute test cases, regression tests and confirmation tests according to test plan
• Be the single point of contact (internal and external) for all test related matters and issues

• Manage testing activities i.e. test plan preparation, traceability matrix preparation and update, test cases generation and execution, test results and test report review

• Update the relevant documentations related to the project/change appropriately
• Implements and enforces new processes and procedures with an ability to simplify testing through automation and innovation
• Ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures as per the project management framework. Demonstrates a good understanding of risk awareness and compliance issues to minimize project, business, operational and reputational risk
• Working with cross functional teams like project team, operations, technology/IT partners and adopting a collaborative approach that supports the project and departments objective

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in computer science or equivalent area of study
• Good understanding of test methodology and experience in a SDLC (software development lifecycle) project implementation process
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in testing, preferably within a banking/financial services environment

Incident Management

• Lead investigation and ensure resolution of incident withinstipulated SLA time
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend improvement solution for recurrent incident to Client
• Ensure propersign-off/endorsement by client for incident resolution/closure and associated archival/repository

IT Security Management

• Schedule security scan for identified systems according to policies, and verify all vulnerability rectifications are satisfactorily performed.
• Conduct Security Review on System Access and administration patterns weekly, and report unusual or suspicious activities, if any, to SMO Head Office.
• Track, mitigate and deploy patch security vulnerabilities accordingly to the stipulated timeline. Maintain oversight and submit reports on monthly basis.
• Ensure application/software/system are updated with the latest virus/security patches
• Escalate and/or seek Client’s acceptance and approval of assessed risks.

IT Security Compliance & QA Management

• Ensure compliance status of the Systems adheres to applicable standards, polices, directives and guidelines.
• Declare, review and report compliance status to SMO head office annually.
• During audit exercise, work with stakeholders to provide responses and evidences to auditors or compliance related declarations.
• Provide a Rectification Plan on any gaps found.
• Provide rectification plan for issues arising from audit.
• Seek waiver on compliance whenever it is justifiable.
• Ensure all applicable standards, policies, directives, guidelines, deliverables and quality assurance records are filed and kept up-to-date for audit and review purposes.
• Work with Client on system enhancement required for policy changes and audit requirements.

A little about you:

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent
• More than 3 years of IT project management experience and at least 5 years of IT experience
