Business Development Manager Requirements and skills

• Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
• Proven sales track record
• Experience in customer support is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
• Proficiency in English
• Market knowledge
• Communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to build rapport
• Time management and planning skills
• BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
• The ability to work under pressure.
• Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).

Due Diligence Process Management:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive due diligence plan, ensuring all relevant aspects (financial, operational, legal, regulatory, and reputational) are thoroughly assessed.
• Coordinate the efforts of cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, compliance, and other internal departments, to ensure thorough investigation and reporting.

Reporting:

• Prepare and present comprehensive due diligence reports that summarize findings, highlight key risks, and provide recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Advise on transaction structures, including potential risk mitigation strategies, and assist in drafting transaction-related documents and agreements.

Post-Transaction Integration Support:

• Work with post-transaction integration teams to ensure the smooth transition and integration of acquired businesses, helping to identify synergies and streamline operational processes.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

• Ensure all due diligence activities comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that could impact the due diligence process, particularly in relation to mergers, acquisitions, and investments.

Expediate and process regular orders

Ensure accurate shipping/freight arrangement and smooth onboard deliveries

Manage day to day operations and transactions

Direct dealings with Customers / Airlines / Carriers / Freight Forwarders & Service providers.

Arrangements of Air / Sea Freight bookings

Arrangements of loading on board vessels liaising with ship owners /Captain

Good understanding of forwarding business is an advantage.

Overseeing operations department

Any other duties as assigned by management

Job Expectations

• Overseeing and ensuring that hotel operations run smoothly.
• Providing guests with a comfortable stay by ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, lobby, and other facilities are well-maintained.
• As a leader, nurture a high-performance culture within the Front Office department.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping to ensure that guests will be able to experience a clean and comfortable stay.
• Collaborate with Security to ensure efficient surveillance of the property and proper reporting/ follow-up of incidents.
• Be updated on the trends, evolving guests’ expectations, and changing needs relating to accommodations, services, and facilities.
• Identifying and implementing ways on how to improve organisational effectiveness.
• Ensuring maximum utilisation of rooms to boost the revenue for the organisation.

Requirements

• O-Levels or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ of relevant experience in hotel operations and management.
• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and Public Holidays.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills, positive attitude, enthusiasm, and initiative.
• Knowledge in Opera System.
• Able to lead the team and drive results.
