Systems & Cloud Architect - Payment Industry IT Software

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Systems Architect with a keen interest in the payment industry and IT software. As a Systems Architect, you will have the opportunity to design and oversee the architecture of payment technologies in a cloud-native environment, gaining valuable insights and experience within our innovative team.

Agile and proactive, you will contribute to the conception of cloud-native infrastructures, based on containers and microservices, and bring expertise on tools (Kubernetes, Kafka, OpenSearch, …) and integrations (API architecture, event-based architecture...).

Within the market team, you will closely work with HPS customers and contribute to the implementation of PowerCARD product in several environments: on premises, PaaS (OpenShift), Cloud (AWS)… in a complete devops environment (CI/CD).

Missions

- Be a creative force on technological infrastructure needs (patterns, tooling, etc.) and integrations in line with the needs of the customers.

- Integrate security, operating and cost requirements (ownership, licenses, etc.)

- Assist market and project teams with the integration, maintenance, and operation of cloud-native applications.

- Help teams adopt good practices, by writing guides and make them follow company guidelines.

- Assist presale teams in technical domain.

- Seek sustainability, stability, and risk management.

- Propose areas of improvement with a view to operational and economic performance

- Promote the Devops & Cloud culture internally and externally.

Responsibilities

1. Design and implement scalable system architectures focused on IT software solutions.
2. Have a good knowledge of cloud integrations with security, monitoring, and observability tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, Qualys, etc.)
3. Support for the Devops & Cloud Market roadmap, being a promoter for internal technical & devops culture.
4. Be a referent on platform administration (Kubernetes, EKS, MSK, OpenSearch, Rancher...), with a focus on Kubernetes.
5. Responsible of Cloud deployment questions and environment administration
6. Stay informed about the regulatory updates, and emerging technologies.
7. Implement and maintain robust security measures.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration.
9. Produce technical documentation and system designs.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven expertise in designing software architecture, network interfacing, and data pipeline.
3. Proven expertise in Cloud architecture and virtualization technologies
4. Mastery in Software Architecture, Network Diagram, Data Flow Diagram, Interface Protocols.
5. Familiarity with IaaS/ PaaS, Database Management (RDBMS & NoSQL).
6. Technical proficiency in Docker, CI/CD Pipeline, Java ecosystem.
7. Good knowledge about databases : Oracle, Postgres
8. Strong understanding of security principles.
9. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
2. Ability to assess business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
3. Experience with network architecture and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies.
4. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Journey and Experience Management

- Design and optimize customer journeys across multiple brands, ensuring exceptional experiences at all touchpoints.

- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and technology teams to implement customer-centric initiatives.

- Analyze data to track and improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Franchise Management

- Support M&A activities by conducting financial analysis and assessing customer and operational synergies.

- Develop and oversee franchise management strategies, ensuring consistent brand compliance and performance.

- Build relationships with franchisees to support their operational and customer journey improvements.

New Business Development and Market Expansion

- Identify and pursue growth opportunities in the SEA market.

- Lead new concept launches and market entry strategies to strengthen the brand portfolio.

- Conduct market research to understand trends, consumer behavior, and opportunities in the F&B industry.

ERP and Project Management

- Oversee ERP implementation to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

- Manage cross-functional projects with clear objectives, timelines, and KPIs.

- Ensure alignment of all projects with the company’s strategic goals and growth objectives.

Financial and Audit Expertise

- Leverage ACCA certification and audit experience to ensure financial accuracy and compliance in projects and operations.

- Conduct regular audits and financial analyses to identify risks and opportunities for cost optimization.

- Collaborate with finance teams to align customer journey projects with budgeting and financial targets.

Regional Expertise and Communication

- Utilize knowledge of the SEA market to inform localized strategies and initiatives.

- Build strong networks in the region to stay ahead of market trends and opportunities.

- Communicate effectively in English, Malay, and Chinese to engage diverse stakeholders and audiences.

Qualifications:

- ACCA professional certification with a minimum of 5 years of audit experience, preferably in the F&B or retail industry.

- Proven experience in customer experience, M&A, franchise management, or new business development.

- Strong knowledge of the SEA market with demonstrated success in driving growth and market expansion.

- Hands-on experience in ERP project implementation.

- Fluency in spoken and written English, Malay, and Chinese.
