Our client, a leading player in the food industry, is seeking Senior Business Development Manager (Modern Trade) to join their growing business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the modern trade strategy in alignment with the company's overall business goals.
- Identify growth opportunities within modern trade channels and design initiatives to capitalize on them.
Sales Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the modern trade sales and retail operations team to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Develop and implement sales plans, including pricing, promotions, and distribution strategies.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with distributors to optimize product placement, visibility, and inventory management.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key modern trade customers and stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with major retailers and stakeholders.
- Address customer issues and concerns promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for modern trade activities.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Prepare and present reports on sales performance, market trends, and key metrics to management team periodically.
- Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and optimize trade programs.
Operational Management:
- Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including sales, inventory management, staffing, and customer service, to ensure smooth and efficient outlet performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in consumer/modern trade
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and financial management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems.
