Key Responsibilities

• This role will play a critical function in Pomelo’s leadership team, driving sales and partnerships and ensuring all necessary tools, processes, procedures and staff are in place to successfully support revenue and partnerships goals
• Create a standardised go-to-market approach to clients and coordinate its implementation across sales channels, strategic account management, and marketing
• Develop growth strategies with the executive team
• Create accountability within the company by developing appropriate metrics and coordinating compensation and promotions aligned with these metrics
• Prospect and close relationships with key target clients
• Establish both short-term targets and long-term sales strategy, including industries targeted, and revenue projections
• Monitor the strategies and processes across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition thru to successful launch and follow-on business engagements
• Fill management gaps by building and training individuals and teams in Sales Leadership, Partnership Development and Account Management
• Develop and implement robust sales management processes – pipeline, account planning, and proposals
• Oversee all Channel/Partner Development adding new sales channels and 3rd party resellers and partners
• Represent Pomelo on industry bodies and forums
• Direct in-market resources to assure that all goals are supported in a cost effective, timely manner, with a resulting high level of client satisfaction.

• 10+ years in progressive sales & partnership development leadership positions, with knowledge and experience in the Payments and Financial Services industries
• Exceptional Leadership capability, with experience leading sales teams
• Strong Influencing and negotiation skills
• Exceptional oral and written communications skills
• Proven track record of leading and driving teams to achieve and exceed established goals and objectives
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders internally and externally
• Experience of operating in fast-growth entrepreneurial environments

Technical/Functional

Specific & unique technical/functional competencies necessary to be successful in this role

• Functional and regulatory experience in Acceptance, Merchant Acquiring, Interchange Management, financial transaction processing knowledge and client sales
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Cultural experience of Southeast Asia business development & partnership environment
• Sales and relationship management skills
• Business analytical skills
• Experience designing, shaping and delivering sales & commercial strategies
