The Director of Marketing and Communications, Asia Pacific (AP) is an integral part of the AP resource mobilization and engagement leadership team and global marketing and communications function. The Director of Marketing & Communications, Asia Pacific develops and implements an integrated, efficient, and effective marketing and communications strategy to help achieve the organization’s 2030 goals. They operate within a highly matrixed structure, coordinating with country, regional and global TNC teams to ensure that marketing and communications efforts are strategically aligned across diverse geographical and cultural landscapes. The Director of Marketing & Communications, Asia Pacific works closely with and manages relations with internal key stakeholders including senior management, internal teams, donors, and external key stakeholders and partners to achieve regional goals. They may be responsible for presenting analysis and recommendations to Trustees and AP Council members.

The Director of Marketing & Communications, Asia Pacific leads communication and marketing efforts for both internal and external audiences, including integrated themes, consistent messaging, compelling campaigns, and collateral materials. Duties include:

• Designs, directs, and manages a coordinated marketing and communications strategy across the Asia-Pacific region, overseeing multiple complex and diverse programs or projects—including but not limited to strategic brand development, digital marketing, earned and social media strategy, events strategy, executive thought leadership and crisis communications.
• Collaborates with senior marketing leadership on regional and global levels to synthesize core TNC marketing initiatives for optimal performance in Asia Pacific markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE

AP & Global Collaboration:

· Collaborate with TNC leaders, internal and external key stakeholders, including executive leadership and internal teams, donors, and volunteers to achieve regional goals.

· Work closely with senior marketing leadership on regional and global levels to synthesize core TNC marketing initiatives for optimal performance in the AP market.

· Provide strategic leadership in managing a decentralized but integrated marketing and communications structure across the Asia Pacific region.

· Facilitate collaboration across the various AP teams to fulfil marketing and communications objectives.

Regional Team Management:

· Manage a regional team that creates, manages, and implements key marketing initiatives and/or marketing programs designed to drive and advance marketing strategies in key public-facing markets that build awareness and engagement, influence conservation action, and achieve fund raising goals.

· Broad management responsibility for administrative, professional, and volunteer staff, including recruitment, retention, training, professional development, establishing clear directions, and setting “stretch” objectives.

· Ability to motivate, lead, set objectives, develop talent, manage performance, and help with conflict resolution on a large multi-disciplinary team.

Program Management:

· Design, direct, and manage multiple complex and diverse programs or projects including strategic brand development, digital marketing, earned and social media strategy, events strategy, executive thought leadership and crisis communications.

· Manage the budget and operational delivery of program or initiative goals and strategies ensuring program accountability.

· Define key results and appropriate targets to measure marketing and communications effectiveness and communicate results to stakeholders. Exercise leadership in strategic and tactical matters, work with fellow leaders to establish and evaluate policies and/or long-term programs.

Best Practice & Information Management:

· Drive efforts to obtain, create, store in an easily accessible and useful format, manage and disseminate content from country programs around individual project and campaign themes.

· Develop best practices, standardized metrics, organizational consistency, and branding continuity in communications across the AP region.

Internal & External Communications:

· Lead internal and external communications, themes, messaging, campaign materials, collateral materials.

· Develop business case analysis support for marketing spends/projects outside of budget spends.

· Execute and optimize brand level campaigns, marketing, and communications across all relevant online and offline channels (owned, earned, paid, third party).

· Build unprecedented marketing, communications, and brand awareness locally and regionally through partnership and innovation.

Job scope :

• Attend to customer enquires relating to sales or sales operations
• Handle office administration matters such as application/renewal of work
  permits, worker insurance, etc
• Provide general office/administrative duties and assist various departments in the administrative job, such as letters preparation, copying, scanning, filing, data entry, etc
• Assist in typing of quotations, invoices and other documents
• Handle purchasing of stock/supplies required
• Manage sales enquiry log book paperwork
