Primary Function of Position:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President and President of Asia, the Sr Director of Regional Marketing, Market Access and Custom Analytics (MACA), will lead teams that provide consultative leadership to the Asia direct county sales and marketing teams to include Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan and India. As a member of the Asia Region Operations Leadership Team (AROLT), the successful candidate will develop and implement a vision and set marketing and customer data strategies that lead to continued growth, market development and profitability of the company.
Marketing Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop regional marketing and customer data consulting teams
- Direct responsibilities the following regional marketing directors and their teams: product portfolio marketing, digital solutions marketing, audience marketing, and marketing operations for social, web, content management and automation
- Direct responsibilities for the following MACA roles: MACA Directors assigned to each country for customer data consulting and their supporting MACA data science team members
- Provide direction to regional marketing and MACA leaders, ensuring alignment with global strategy so that best practices can be leveraged into the region and the countries
- Drive the development of regional business strategies by capturing and mining market intelligence and translating it into actionable, differentiated programs, across the full Intuitive ecosystem
- Engage with the country GMs to create and oversee the Asia Region GOST (Goals, Objectives, Strategies and Tactics) development and reporting process
- Partner with corporate marketing to ensure consistent brand and product messaging are incorporated into all regional engagements and well understood at the country-level.
- Partner with Product BUs on end-to-end product portfolio lifecycle management, marketing and R&D initiatives
- Partner with MACA leads in each region and with support teams in the Digital BU, Privacy and Legal to ensure the right DOP, SOP, and organizational processes are in place to scale the MACA function across all Asia markets.
- Determine necessity of regional resources for the areas marketing and customer data exchange and where required, plan the next two to three years buildout to deliver on short- and long-term objectives.
- Collaborate with corporate marketing, clinical affairs, GAVE/HEOR, Service, Sales Operations, Customer Training, Legal and Regulatory to ensure alignment of regional goals and resources
- Facilitate cross-regional expertise to maximize impact by country sales, marketing and MACA teams.
- Lead customer satisfaction improvement utilizing voice-of-customer input tools like Product Events, Surgeons Advisory boards, NPS and other such customer satisfaction surveys.
- Continuously evaluate procedure and market adoption trends to anticipate opportunities for growth or risks to the business. Create plans and programs through people to capitalize on the opportunities.
- Mentor country marketing leaders in strategy organization readiness, talent development and annual plan execution.
- Maintain a solid understanding of the market, monitor the competitive landscape, pricing, reimbursement information, identifying trends or changes that will impact business, and recommending actions and contingency plans to maximize opportunities.
- Manage all aspects of marketing planning, budgeting, metrics and reporting in region.
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
- 20+ years of well-rounded marketing, sales and commercial management experience in positions of increasing responsibility, with a focus on developing new markets, launching disruptive technologies / products requiring a paradigm shift, and expanding penetration in existing markets.
- Ideally, experienced in leading marketing and digital/data functions in Asia
- Experience in healthcare information technology strategies, healthcare data consulting and leading surgeon practice and/or hospital service line business development teams.
- Proven to be an inspirational leader that can hire, train and develop regional marketing and MACA teams that integrate successfully with country general managers and their sales and marketing teams
- Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, demand generation, brand, product and service management, sales, and business development; along with a demonstrated track record of success and leadership performance
- Considerable experience and comfort in presenting and defending evidence with key c-suite clinical, strategic, and economic decision makers
- Demonstrated expertise in managing multiple customer segments and products at varied levels of adoption.

- Healthcare medical device, pharma, or hospital/health system industry experience is required
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
- Candidates must either be based in Singapore or open to relocation.
