We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to join our fast growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of the marketing strategy for a consumer footwear brand. This role involves leading the marketing department, driving brand growth, enhancing market positioning, and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. The CMO will play a crucial role in shaping the brand’s identity, expanding market reach, and driving customer engagement across all channels.
You will also be responsible for:
- Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy in alignment with the company’s vision, mission, and business goals.
Lead the marketing team in setting and achieving strategic objectives and KPIs.
Collaborate with the executive team to define brand positioning, market expansion strategies, and growth initiatives.
- Brand Development and Management:
Define and execute brand strategy, ensuring consistency in brand messaging, identity, and visual representation.
Drive initiatives to strengthen brand equity and market presence.
Oversee the creation and management of brand guidelines and ensure their adherence across all marketing materials and channels.
- Marketing Strategy and Execution:
Develop and oversee integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
Manage and optimize marketing channels, including digital, social media, traditional advertising, and experiential marketing.
Implement and measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies to ensure a high return on investment (ROI).
- Consumer Insights and Market Research:
Conduct market research to understand consumer behavior, trends, and competitive landscape.
Use insights to inform marketing strategies, product development, and customer engagement initiatives.
Analyze data and metrics to evaluate the success of marketing campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
- Digital Marketing and E-Commerce:
Oversee digital marketing efforts, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
Collaborate with the e-commerce team to optimize online sales strategies and drive traffic and conversions.
Stay updated on digital marketing trends and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Budget and Financial Management:
Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control.
Monitor and report on marketing expenditures, performance metrics, and financial outcomes.
Implement strategies to maximize marketing spend efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leadership and Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
Recruit and develop top marketing talent, providing guidance and professional growth opportunities.
Build and maintain relationships with external agencies, partners, and vendors to support marketing initiatives.
- Partnerships and Public Relations:
Develop and manage strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance brand visibility and market reach.
Oversee public relations efforts, including media relations, press releases, and brand reputation management.
Coordinate with influencers and media to amplify brand messaging and drive consumer engagement.
- Product and Sales Alignment:
Work closely with product development and sales teams to align marketing strategies with product launches and sales objectives.
Ensure marketing campaigns effectively support product positioning and promotional activities.
We would want to speak with you if you are / have –
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the consumer goods or footwear industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Strong understanding of brand management, digital marketing, and market research.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and data to make informed strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems).
It would be great if you have:
- Experience with omnichannel marketing strategies and e-commerce.
- Knowledge of graphic design and content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience in managing large-scale marketing budgets and teams.
