JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager leads & oversees the Key Marketing functions of the hotel, restaurant, bar and social spaces. This includes managing the hotel and restaurant brand image, marketing communications, public relations and promotional campaigns. The Marketing Manager also oversees market research on brand awareness, market trends and target consumer landscape to develop successful marketing campaigns and initiatives. This role requires a very focused leader who understands hospitality sales, reservations, food & beverage trends, event planning & execution.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Manage all marketing aspects for the hotel and restaurant.
2. Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity.
3. Works with the General Manager & extended teams to develop a Marketing & Events Plan & that identifies key market niche (s) and segments & defines the focus on these.
4. Develop marketing campaigns that are aligned with brand and strategies.
5. Create data-driven commercial insights and strategies to acquire customers.
6. Develop design ideas for marketing campaigns across traditional, digital and social media platforms.
7. Develop measures to improve effectiveness of future marketing campaigns based on areas of improvement.
8. Develop measures to use market & industry trends to promote products & services to target customers.
9. To manage guest database and CRM, including history, spending trends, preferences.
10. Work with the sales team and F&B team to identify, solicit, influence and convert highly valuable revenue opportunities.
11. Act as on-site contact for the PR agency; take over PR when agency contract ends.
12. Communicate marketing programming, managing the marketing calendar, and working closely with internal stakeholders as needed to execute plans.
13. Maintain effective internal communications to ensure all relevant parties are kept informed of marketing objectives.
14. Creation and publication of all marketing materials, collateral, and online campaign.
15. Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications.
16. Cultivate and extend local partnerships.
17. Collaborate with the Sales team to:
· create & develop special events & sales blitzes to showcase the hotel to potential clients.
· develop & enhance awareness & reputation of the hotel & the brand in the local community.
18. Attend selected market events to promote new business & increase sales and marketing opportunities for the hotel.
19. Responsible for the people management of the marketing team including but not limited to recruitment, performance management and development of the team.
20. Coach and develop team members; inspire and motivate success, effectively manage team and individual performance to achieve success metrics.
21. To maintain flexibility to perform other duties and projects as required and deemed necessary to support the Hotel’s overall business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Proven track record of at least 8 years of brand marketing, advertising and promotion experience within the hospitality or a related industry of FMCG or Luxury.
· Commercially focused, ability to analyse market data and results driven.
· Confident and dynamic personality.
· Strong creative outlook.
· Strong local knowledge and contacts.
