As a marketing data analyst with a strong background in data analysis, you will report to the Head of Digital Marketing in MSIG Asia. You will work with local marketing teams in business units (BUs), which are insurance companies in countries and territories in the region, to analyse customer data, identify marketing opportunities, and track campaign status. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between raw data and strategic marketing actions. With your expertise in marketing analytics, you will support campaign design and execution, reporting and tracking end-to end campaign funnel, and reviewing campaign effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Insights: Use data to uncover actionable insights, optimise campaigns, and inform strategic decisions across our marketing initiatives.
- Campaign Optimisation: Develop and apply data models to optimise performance marketing channels (e.g., social media, email campaigns, website analytics). Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
- Reporting & Visualisation: Utilise statistical tools and techniques to analyse data and generate actionable insights. Provide insights and recommendations to improve customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with marketing teams in the BUs in the region to design and implement data-driven marketing strategies and integrate data insights into business strategies.
- Customer Segmentation: Leverage customer data to drive segmentation strategies and targeted marketing efforts, focusing on personalisation and customer journey enhancements.
Requirements
- 7+ years' experience working within a similar role in digital marketing with a focus on data analytics in any consumer products and service industry is required. Solid understanding of digital marketing channels, metrics, and optimisation techniques.
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualisation tools (Excel, Google Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience with SQL, Python is a plus
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., MS Dynamics, Salesforce)
- Understanding of insurance or financial marketing principles and practices is preferred.
- Experience working with large datasets and knowledge of data warehousing.
- Ability to understand a system architecture, a company system architecture and the best practices of other companies, and to consider and promote sustainable architecture.
- Knowledge of statistics required to understand and utilise internal and external data. This includes understanding testing and statistical analysis methods, as well as having practical knowledge to optimally apply these methods.
- Ability to transform complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead cross-functional projects.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to deadlines.
