General Accountability
Reporting directly to VP Sales, APAC, this role is responsible for driving new product sales and overseeing the development of Service & Solution (S&S) activities within the region. The role will play a key part in executing Manitou's strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the global direction, and driving sales growth. The Sales Director will also collaborate closely with the S&S Manager to implement service strategies, manage dealer performance, and determine the optimal distribution structure—whether through direct Manitou entities or dealer networks. As a member of the regional management committee, the Sales Director will actively contribute to regional strategic projects such as market expansion and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution

• Develop and implement the regional sales strategy in alignment with Manitou’s overall vision.
• Assess and optimize the sales in the area, identifying key growth areas and implementing targeted improvements across market and product segments.
• Establish and track clear KPIs to drive sales performance and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Coordinate resources and structure the organization to effectively support and execute the sales strategy.

Dealer & Distribution Network Management

• Build and expand the distribution network, which includes managing dealers, direct operations, and service partners across the sales area.
• Enhance dealer performance by offering tailored support, monitoring KPIs, and implementing incentive schemes to drive sales growth.
• Ensure all machines and drive systems meet local compliance regulations for the Southeast & North Asia markets.
• Promote Service & Solution (S&S) sales by working closely with the S&S Manager to implement and oversee relevant activities.

Financial Management & Profitability

• Own the P&L for the region, driving profitability through margin management, pricing strategies, and cost control.
• Develop and monitor the regional budget, ensuring adherence to financial targets and implementing corrective actions when necessary to improve profitability.
• Actively monitor and adjust sales strategies to ensure ongoing profitability and sustainable growth.

Team Leadership & Development

Qualifications

Education

• University degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management or executive sales role, preferably in a multinational environment and relevant industries.

Sales and Innovation Manager:

Roles & Responsibilities

. Managing sales team by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls.

. Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.

. Maintain contact with existing customers and their OEM to ensure continuous business.

. Evaluate OEM requirements and provide sufficient consultation and supports to customers for them to proceed the product development smoothly.

. Decision making of standard price setting and adjustment for each sales account.

. Collecting global market information to implement our products into new market, industry, or application.

. Business innovation of new application and products with customers and OEM.

. Carry out any tasks relating to sales and innovation by Managing Director.

Key Qualifications:

. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business/Science-Chemistry.

. Understanding of industries of expanded plastics, automotive parts, packaging, HVAC.

. Minimum 5+ years of sales or business development or product innovation experiences of above-mentioned industry.

2. Assist in preparation of quotations, technical data, compiling brochures, catalogues & technical details, layout dimensional drawings, etc... required for submission to clients.

3. Assist Sales Team in following-up for orders.

4. Develop & implement use of computer for costing, estimation & quotations. Set-up and improve on standardised costing method.

5. Check & compare costing / estimation against actual costs for awarded job. Budget planning & control for jobs.

6. Responsible for correct / accuracy of acceptable level in costing.

7. Sourcing of components / parts with assistance from Purchasing Department. for better alternatives, improvements, cost effective, etc. when required.

8. Assist in co-ordination work (internal or external).
