As a Sales Associate, your primary responsibility is to drive sales growth through achieving targets and delivering exceptional customer service. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer shopping experience by engaging with customers in a friendly and personalized manner, addressing their needs, and resolving any concerns. The retail sales associate should be passionate about people and eager to develop new customer-service skills, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the store.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Customer Service Excellence
ā¢Engage customers with expertise by providing 1-to-1 personalized advice on golf equipment, accessories, apparel and services based on customers' needs and preferences
ā¢Create a memorable shopping experience by providing exceptional level of customer service that exceeds customer expectations and always be approachable and gracious in all customer interactions
ā¢Handle inquiries and complaints professionally and resolve customersā concerns with patience and efficiency to ensure customer satisfaction
2.Sales Commitment
ā¢Achieve or exceed weekly sales target, proactive in promoting products that suit customer needs and cross-selling complementary goods and services to boost sales
ā¢Execute in store marketing and promotional displays based on companyās guidelines and support local golf sales events
ā¢Demonstrate product knowledge and continuous learning for latest golf products, trends, and promotions to service customersā inquiries
3.Inventory Management
ā¢Monitor stock levels to ensure shelves are always well-stocked, tidy, and reflect accurate inventory levels to avoid customer dissatisfaction
ā¢Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in cycle counts and annual stock takes to maintain inventory accuracy and prevent shrinkage
ā¢Assist in coordinating with stock merchandisers and report low-stock or overstock situations to the team to support inventory management. (pending Cindy)
4.Store Operation & Safety
ā¢Maintain store cleanliness to ensure the store is clean, organized, and presentable to reflect the brand's professionalism and attract customers
ā¢Maintain merchandise in accordance with companyās visual merchandising guidelines. Actively participate in all merchandising activities including, but not limited to, daily stock maintenance, product transfers, and folding clothes.
ā¢Support operational efficiency and to assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and securing the premises.
5.ILG Membership
ā¢Register new members: Actively encourage customers to sign up and assist them through the registration process
ā¢Promote ILG membership benefits: Educate customers on the advantages of ILG membership, such as exclusive discounts, events, and perks
ā¢Build customer loyalty: Cultivate long-term relationships through personalized service and follow-ups to encourage repeat business
Experience and Skills:
ā¢ At least 1 year in a similar role within the retail industry
ā¢ Proven experience in achieving sales targets and KPIs
ā¢ Strong clients focus with an ability to build lasting relationships
ā¢ Exceptional verbal and presentation skills
ā¢ Positive, collaborative, and goal-oriented team member
ā¢ Friendly, professional demeanour with effective communication
ā¢ Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
ā¢ Demonstrates punctuality, honesty, and discipline
ā¢ Self-motivated, driven, and open to feedback
ā¢ Able to commit to rotating shifts (opening & closing hrs)
