CORPORATE INFORMATION
TORAY INTERNATIONAL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. (TISP) is one of the group companies of Toray Industries, Inc. (TORAY) in Japan. The business segments of TORAY Group include fibers & textiles, performance chemicals, carbon fiber composite materials, environment & engineering, and life science.
TISP was established with the purpose of carrying out the commercial activities of TORAY Group mainly in the ASEAN region and has a wide range of business from raw materials to final consumer goods. TISP is currently looking for a SALES MANAGER in charge of electronic and information materials.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Role as Seller's Agent for electronic and information materials manufactured by TORAY Group. Responsibilities include:
(1.1) To increase profits by expanding sales of products produced by the Electronic & Information (E&I) Materials Division to the ASEAN region.
(1.2) To liaise with Toray HQ and Toray International HQ on policies to expand sales.
(1.3) To understand the features of our products, research the markets applicable to the products and develop new business leads.
(1.4) To establish a trusting relationship and maintain regular engagement with customers and other stakeholders to link to future business opportunities.
(1.5) To implement the action plan to build and strengthen business relationships with new customers in ASEAN regions.
2. Role as Trader of non-E&I products and services of TORAY Group materials and non-TORAY Group materials. Responsibilities include:
(2.1) To procure non-E&I products and services from TORAY Group and non-TORAY Group and sell to non-TORAY group.
(2.2) To search for suppliers, customers, and research market trends related to the products to develop new business leads and contribute to profit growth.
(2.3) To communicate with key stakeholders such as Toray HQ and Toray International HQ, to collect information and develop new business strategies.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must –
1. Possess at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
2. Be fluent in English and Japanese for effective communication with our customers and our counterparts.
3. Have 10-15 years’ experience in sales dealing with materials related to semiconductor and electronic components industries.
4. Have advanced knowledge of semiconductor and electronic components industries, E&I products, suppliers, and logistics with the ability to accurately analyze market needs and trends.
5. Have excellent communication and negotiation skills in a multinational/multicultural environment, such as cooperation with stakeholders in ASEAN and Japan.
6. Have experience in risk management.
7. Prepare monthly reports in both English and Japanese for sales, activity, and market information for internal stakeholders.
8. Respond to the queries and requests from Toray HQ.
9. Be competent in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare and deliver presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
10. Be willing to travel within ASEAN region such as Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
11. Have a strong will and drive to grow and strengthen the business network in a rapidly changing environment.
12. Have deep commitment to achieve the team's goals, with enthusiasm to develop his or her subordinate’s ability.
