About the Role

As the Retail Manager for our client in Singapore, you will oversee the retail operations of our key spirits brands, ensuring optimal execution of merchandising, in-store sampling, and relationship management. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence and driving sales through proactive store visits, analysis, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be responsible for managing relationships with both store-level personnel and head office decision-makers, ensuring alignment with our client’s standards and goals. This position is critical in ensuring that our brands are presented and promoted effectively across retail channels.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

General Retail Management

• Conduct regular store visits to ensure high standards of merchandising and product presentation.
• Develop and execute merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and sales.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers, retail teams, and key head office personnel.
• Identify and act on new opportunities to enhance product placement and sales performance.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to plan and execute in-store promotions.

Relationship Management

• Serve as the main point of contact for retail stores, addressing any issues or inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Develop strong rapport with key retail accounts and negotiate additional opportunities for brand exposure.

In-Store Sampling and Promotions

• Plan and execute in-store sampling events to promote brand awareness and drive consumer engagement.
• Train store staff on product knowledge to ensure they effectively represent our spirits.

Reporting and Analysis

• Monitor retail performance and provide actionable insights on sales trends, customer preferences, and market opportunities.
• Create and present regular reports on retail performance metrics to internal stakeholders.

Compliance and Training

• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
• Conduct training sessions for store personnel on best practices for merchandising and customer engagement.

The Ideal Candidate:

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in retail management, preferably within the spirits, beverage, or FMCG industries.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with retail analytics tools.
• Passion for the spirits industry is highly desirable.

Job Summary

Contribute to the success of the organization and sales distribution site by effectively using sales techniques and processes to convert prospective owners into purchasers as well as reload Owners. Develop relationships with prospective owners by soliciting and following up on referrals and leads. Cater the sales experience to the individual needs and preferences of each potential owner, and follow through with the sales contract process to ensure that all required paperwork and legally required documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner efficiently. Core Work Activities

Building and Maintaining Customer Base

• Answer owner questions regarding use of properties and location amenities; make recommendations given the background information obtained on the owner through discovery.

• Fulfill requests from owners or prospects regarding pricing, property maps, property descriptions, room locations, and portfolio/network information.

Giving Sales Presentations

• Follow and adhere to the Consultative Sales Process when presenting to owners and guests.
• Establish trust with the prospective owner and Owners throughout the entire sales process to build on-going rapport.
• Discover the needs of prospective owners and Owners through a series of strategically layered questions/discussion and utilize the information to customize the sales presentation.
• Provide prospective owners and Owners a Sales Gallery, Property and Model tour specific to their sales distribution site.
• Explain the features, advantages and benefits of the product and advocate the appropriate amount of points to accommodate the prospective owners and Owners current and future vacation needs.
• Complete and close the sales contract process by ensuring all required/legal paperwork and documents are signed and notarized.
• Practice and continue to develop and improve sales script and presentation.
• Ensure clear understanding of finance options and present as an approach to ownership.
• Prepare for daily appointments (e.g., review tour sheet, owner history, presentation details, etc).
• Follow up face-to-face guest interaction with email, phone, or mail correspondence and facilitates use of Vacation Ownership Advisor.
• Answer Owner and customer questions regarding product information, servicing issues, construction work, financing, maintenance, repairs, and appraisals.
• Use, demonstrate, and/or coordinate virtual tour (eTour) software for guests.

Conducting and Managing Business Transactions

• Assure complete and accurate processing of documents pertaining to sales.
• Review details of contracts with prospective owners and Owners once they decide on purchase.
• Thoroughly review loan applications and financial documents with the customer and ensure completed properly.
• Work with Sales Management to minimize cancellations, provide comprehensive owner assurance and ensure timeliness of closings.
• Analyze problems and formulate a strategy and plan to overcome challenges of getting work done quickly with a high degree of quality.
• Complete purchase summary worksheet at end of each sale.
• Reach out to and influence Legacy Owners and Every Other Year (EOY) Owners to enroll, upgrade and maximize all reload opportunities.

Providing Service to Others

• Respond to and monitor the resolution of customer and Owner inquiries in a timely manner with accurate information.
• Leverage resources for providing service to guests and Owners (e.g., Vacation Ownership Advisors) in an effective manner.

Other

• Manage time effectively to punctually attend daily team meetings, training sessions, and guest/owner appointments.
• Demonstrate total understanding of the culture and processes of the organization.
• Improve sales presentation approach through self-critique, practice, and lessons from the feedback provided by others (e.g., Sales Manager Coaches, Guests, Owners).
• Participate in formal training sessions offered by management team.
• Attend daily huddles and regularly scheduled team/manager meetings.
• Assist in the development and mentoring of other Sales/Membership Executives as requested.
• Maintain an awareness of current events (e.g., news, sports, pop-culture) and information on site locations to enable and promote customer relationship building.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Required language(s): This role is expected to communicate to English or Bahasa Indonesian speaking guests. Knowledge of English/Bahasa Indonesian dialect is essential

• Responsible for full spectrum of marketing plan and strategies including brand positioning, communication strategies, digital and ecommerce, advertising and consumer promotion initiatives
• Set the overall direction for marketing department; set KPIs, analyse ROIs, develop budget plan, monitor and control expenses and create annual marketing calendar to be reviewed monthly and quarterly
• Work closely with management, business development, retail sales, and corporate sales to identify marketplace opportunities, customer needs and customer satisfaction levels
• Conduct strategic research and analysis to support brand goals, increase customer conversions and generate qualified leads including: market, consumer, competitor, distribution, pricing and promotion analysis
• Develop and maintain company’s corporate branding and ensure that marketing and branding directions are aligned across all business and operational levels
• Partner with in-house creative team and external agencies to develop brand assets and marketing collaterals including print/tv/radio adverts, press releases, brochures, posters, edms, social media, web pages in alignment with brand guidelines
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with the media, advertising/PR agencies, influencers and perform effective media buys
• Responsible for organising events such as new product launches and promotions, roadshows, workshops
• Responsible for copywriting of articles, marketing materials, product information, press releases etc.
• Mentor, lead and support the marketing team to complete marketing projects from planning to execution. Work with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to campaigns.
• Perform administrative duties as required

Requirements:
• Degree in Mass Communications/Marketing/Business Administration
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Sales and Marketing with experience in a manager role
• Experience in the retail industry and consumer-products is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Digital Marketing and SEO/SEM/Google Analytics is an advantage
