Department Overview
Nomura's Global Markets department offers clients worldwide liquidity, market insights, and execution services across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities. The team's emphasis on innovation and technology ensures access to advanced trading platforms and tailored solutions. Role Description
Reporting to the Head of Financial Institution Solutions Sales, you will focus on Solutions Sales covering Non-Banking Financial Institution (NBFI) clients in Southeast Asia which include Financial Sponsors, Private Equity, Real Estate, Insurance, Pension Funds, and Fintech.
Other responsibilities include:
- Pricing and dealing vanilla and exotic derivatives across FX, Credit, Rates and Structured Products.
- Introducing new NBFI client relationships to the firm.
- Maintaining existing NBFI client relationships of the firm.
- Introducing product capabilities of the firms to NBFI clients.
- Market trade ideas and solutions.
- Regular research for sales origination.
- Work closely with trading, structuring and research team across multiple jurisdictions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an investment bank covering Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) solution sales across Southeast Asia.
- Experience in managing NBFI clients across Southeast Asia.
- Experience with both technical and pricing knowledge of derivatives, and the sales functions across all asset classes across Asia (excluding Japan) market, along with legal environment and documentation.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
- Very strong command of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Self-starter, proactive and have a positive attitude, able to work independently and coordinate with key stakeholders within the firm.
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, and under pressure.
- Able to work long hours during crunch time / pre-events.
