Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for all Marine sales activities, ensuring that they are all in line with Hempel Group standards and objectives.
- The role will be responsible for Maintaining existing business, achieving budgetary objectives stipulated for the year, and developing Hempel market share
- Daily management of the department and its employees
- Build & Support high-performing teams with key focus on talent development
Key tasks:
- Supervises, guides, supports and motivates Marine sales staff.
- Promotes and sells Marine Coatings and services to existing customers and develop new customers.
- Continuously strives for the development of staff's professional competence by regularly providing guidance and constructive feedback on the Marine staff's performance.
- Prepares annual Marine sales budget and monthly forecast
- Sets yearly individual sales targets and plans strategies toward achieving the target.
- Monitors Marine customer’s accounts receivables and resolves more serious payment issues and coordinates for necessary corrective actions with Financial Controllers as necessary and as when the situation demands.
- Ensures that the Marine department has the right sales and marketing tools needed to help achieve budget
- Provides customers with products and services to ensure complete customer satisfaction (Quality Service).
- Maintains close cooperation and communication with all departments in the implementation of market strategies (including pricing policies).
- Monitors and reports the competitor’s activities.
- Achieves overall sales and collection targets.
- Interacts with Group Segment teams to provide relevant information and support sought for from a local level.
- Actively use and encourage teams to use & update CRM Tools and IQS for Sales (i.e. Regular updating of Leads,
- Opportunities, Accounts, Tasks/Activities.
- Shall adhere to company policy, including procedures related to QMS and EMS.
Required education, experience and job-related skills:
- University degree in Business Administration or any other related field preferably Technical (Chemistry) degree.
- MBA or specific studies of Business Administration would be valuable.
- 8 or more years of experience in similar tasks or as Manager in a Sales department.
- Knowledge of the paint sector would be valuable.
- Quality oriented with proven experience of working to quality standards.
- Organised and capable of meeting deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable attitude.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Experience managing a high performance Sales Team.
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Dynamic AX, Clickview and CRM Applications).
