As a Marketing & Engagement (Intern) at the World Aquatics Championships 2025 (WCH2025), you play a key role in supporting the marketing and engagement team to manage community engagement by organising and coordinating roadshows and school engagement programmes aimed at raising awareness for the event.
Through these initiatives, you will connect with diverse groups within the community leading up to the Championships, developing project management and stakeholder engagement skills. By fostering relationships with schools and local organisations, you help promote the event and encourage widespread participation, making the WCH2025 an inclusive and celebrated occasion for Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
School and Community Engagements
• Organise outreach activities and events for communities to excite and increase awareness of aquatics and the championships.
• Allocate and brief volunteers to support events, where required.
• Support the team to execute initiatives to increase awareness and engage students (pre-schools, primary, secondary, Junior Colleges, Institutes of Higher Learning) in co-creation of WCH2025 events and school roadshows.
• Facilitate the initiatives adopted by schools’ post MOE engagement sessions by planning and coordinating the following:
o WCH2025 Learning Journeys
o Adopt-A-Country
o Adopt-A-Sport
o Curation and design of merchandise and athletes’ welcome cards
o From Trash to Treasure medals
o Roadshows with mascots
• Support the team’s co-ordination with Special Events division to facilitate schools’ participation in the lead-up to the Victory Ceremonies during WCH2025.
• Coordinate the deployment of roadshows with the appointed vendor.
• Support in social media content, where required.
• Keep track of premiums and roadshow credits.
• Assist in gathering feedback and data.

• Must be interested in the aquatic sports industry.
• Academic Background in Marketing, Engagement, Communications, or a related field.
• Interest in Sports Operations in Sporting Events.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent Attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Strong ability to write and engage with stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal, communications and problem-solving skills required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with the aquatic sports industry is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as needed during the event, including weekends.
