About You
As a proactive and dynamic individual, you are passionate about building strong relationships, creating visually impactful displays, and driving sales in a competitive retail environment. Your background in retail management equips you with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, from store personnel to key head office decision-makers. With a strong attention to detail, you excel at identifying opportunities for brand growth, creating engaging in-store experiences, and ensuring the seamless execution of merchandising strategies.
You thrive in collaborative environments, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and can effectively translate retail insights into actionable strategies. Your enthusiasm for the spirits industry and understanding of consumer behaviour make you an indispensable part of the team.
About the Role
As the Retail Manager for our client in Singapore, you will oversee the retail operations of our key spirits brands, ensuring optimal execution of merchandising, in-store sampling, and relationship management. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence and driving sales through proactive store visits, analysis, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
You will be responsible for managing relationships with both store-level personnel and head office decision-makers, ensuring alignment with our client’s standards and goals. This position is critical in ensuring that our brands are presented and promoted effectively across retail channels.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
General Retail Management
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure high standards of merchandising and product presentation.
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and sales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers, retail teams, and key head office personnel.
- Identify and act on new opportunities to enhance product placement and sales performance.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to plan and execute in-store promotions.
Relationship Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for retail stores, addressing any issues or inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Develop strong rapport with key retail accounts and negotiate additional opportunities for brand exposure.
In-Store Sampling and Promotions
- Plan and execute in-store sampling events to promote brand awareness and drive consumer engagement.
- Train store staff on product knowledge to ensure they effectively represent our spirits.
Reporting and Analysis
- Monitor retail performance and provide actionable insights on sales trends, customer preferences, and market opportunities.
- Create and present regular reports on retail performance metrics to internal stakeholders.
Compliance and Training
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
- Conduct training sessions for store personnel on best practices for merchandising and customer engagement.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in retail management, preferably within the spirits, beverage, or FMCG industries.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with retail analytics tools.
- Passion for the spirits industry is highly desirable.
