This position requires frequent engagement with category buyers, leading and managing merchandisers, and developing promotional plans to achieve company goals. Responsibilities

1. Category Buyer Liaison:Serve as the primary point of contact with category buyers in grocery chains, petrol stations, and other retail channels.
   Collaborate with buyers to design and implement effective promotional plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
   Negotiate product listings, shelf placements, and promotional activities to enhance visibility and sales.
   
2. Merchandiser Management:Lead, guide, and manage a team of merchandisers, providing clear direction and setting achievable targets.
   Monitor the performance of merchandisers to ensure they meet sales goals and maintain high standards of execution at retail outlets.
   Conduct regular training sessions for merchandisers to improve performance and foster professional development.
   
3. Sales Planning and Execution:Set sales goals for the team and develop actionable strategies to achieve them.
   Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and areas needing improvement.
   Drive sales campaigns and ensure they are executed effectively at all retail locations.
   
4. Promotion Planning and Execution:Work closely with category buyers to design impactful promotional plans, including in-store activities and seasonal campaigns.
   Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure alignment between promotional strategies and overall brand objectives.
   Track and evaluate the performance of promotions, providing recommendations for optimization.
   
5. Market Analysis and Strategy:Conduct regular market research to stay updated on competitor activities, consumer preferences, and emerging opportunities.
   Provide insights and recommendations to management based on market analysis.
   
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work with internal teams such as supply chain, logistics, and marketing to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
   Provide feedback from category buyers and market insights to support product development and inventory planning.
   
7. Reporting and Performance Metrics:Prepare regular performance reports for senior management, highlighting sales achievements, challenges, and areas for growth.
   Track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with company goals.
   
8. Compliance and Standards:Ensure that all sales and promotional activities adhere to company policies, retail standards, and regulatory requirements.
   

Requirements

• Proven experience in sales management, particularly in supermarkets, petrol stations, or similar industries.
