• Provide support to the team by building and maintaining relationships and performing industry research to keep up with the market trends
• Prepare credit proposals for new applications and renewals, suggesting improvements in credit frameworks, policies and guidelines when necessary
• Prepare pitch decks and market materials
• Assisting in CDD/ KYC/AML and onboarding clients
• Supporting the management of the deal from origination, execution, credit, documentation, closing, first drawdown and post-drawndown portfolio management
• Provide support in arrange deals in loans and syndications loans according to policy and procedures
• Coordinate within the team and liaise with internal departments such as Credit and Treasur yand external stakeholders to ensure all necessary documents are in place and smooth running of deals and sufficient funds are available
• Discuss loan terms with clients and all other participating parties

This Sales Development Manager will work with a motivated and successful team at the forefront of electron microscopy in Asia and around the world! You will find creative ways to deliver business growth for materials science electron microscopy products (TEM, SEM, DualBeam and XPS) in the APJ region. You will work closely with our academic and industrial research customers, to understand their application needs and target new markets, build links with new customers, and increase sales.

Job responsibilities will include:
• Explaining new products, technology, workflows and solutions to customers including in the battery, steel, automotive, and coatings industries, as well as to academic researchers.
• Initiating and driving business development projects to deliver pipeline and bookings growth for electron microscopy and XPS products in the region.
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers to better understand how to make them successful, both in academia and industry.
• Market research and analysis, including participating in microscopy societies and conferences, using online tools such as websites, databases and social media, and identifying key opinion leaders
• Delivering pipeline and bookings growth for FIB, SEM, TEM and XPS products in the region
• Event planning and execution including conferences, workshops, trade shows and webinars, and presenting at such events.
• Adapting or translating marketing and presentation materials for local use.
• Training the sales force about new solutions, applications and competitor products.

The ideal candidate would have:
• A university degree or equivalent, preferably a PhD or similar research experience in the field of materials science, metallurgy, electron microscopy, nanotechnology, physics, chemistry, engineering or similar
• Strong understanding of electron microscopy technology and application to Materials Science research, preferably with hands-on experience
• A passion for electron microscopy and materials science
• Be a fast learner willing to tackle new challenges in a sales environment.
• Energy and a “can do” mind-set.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to explain technical concepts and applications clearly to a range of audiences, to gain trust, to influence and persuade others, to present at conferences, and to work well in teams.
