The Opportunity: Business Associate, Investment Management
In this role, you will work within the IM and APAC Operations teams to drive strategic and tactical initiatives across ICONIQ’s Investment Management business, while also assisting in oversight of the various functional teams that report into the COO including but not limited to helping ensure completion and success of IM strategic goals involving Data Operations, Fund Operations and Client Operations teams with a focus on APAC IM initiatives. This cross-functional role will require independent business and financial analysis, problem solving, project management, efficient execution, and a passion for delivering operational excellence in a fast-paced setting.
The Business Associate role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on financial modeling and the capacity to transform unstructured data sets into clear, actionable insightful exhibits. The ideal candidate is a highly structured, self-driven learner with excellent communication and presentations skills who can effectively coordinate projects, liaise with numerous internal and external stakeholders, and craft communications / presentations for a variety of audiences within the firm, including executive leadership.

Principal Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and support Investment Management and APAC Operations on various high-impact initiatives to support ICONIQ’s continued growth and evolution.
- Lead APAC IM strategic initiatives including global alignment and growth of the firm’s presence in the region.
- Partner with members of ICONIQ’s Investment Management Teams and senior management to drive forward cross functional projects.
- Partner with the broader IM team to facilitate and manage the Client Advisory Committee and various sub committees, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and execution of key initiatives and decisions with the senior leadership team.
- Collaborate with senior leadership across the Investment Management division, helping to drive strategy and further evolve the operating model.
- Conduct business analysis, distill unstructured data for executive reporting, create presentations for ICONIQ leadership, and assist in drafting communications for a variety of audiences, including firmwide communications.
- Leverage strong business acumen and analytical / modeling skills to produce business insights, recommend actions and monitor operating health through KPIs.
- Enhance controls and drive process efficiencies through business intelligence and automation initiatives to adapt to regulatory changes and increase scalability.
- Monitor and report on the status of strategic projects, identifying risks and issues.
- Promote and ensure respect for client privacy and confidentiality in all matters.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in Accounting, Consulting, Investment Banking, Financial Services, or other roles that require extensive Business Analysis, Financial Analysis and Modeling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders across various levels of seniority.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Experience with developing dashboards and automation solutions through Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, UiPath and/or Alteryx highly beneficial.
- Experience with Addepar or other Portfolio Management Accounting systems is a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management systems is a plus.
- Experience working with Snowflake, SQL and relational databases is a plus.
- Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Self-starter who is comfortable operating with frequent ambiguity.
- Strong attention to detail, organized and able to prioritize.
- Highly motivated, self-driven and solution oriented.
- Bachelor’s degree and a solid academic background required.
