Role Description:
We are seeking a Business Development Manager (Sustainable Waste Management) to join our team in Singapore. This is a full-time role with on-site responsibilities. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the waste management sector. You will build and maintain relationships with key clients, develop sales strategies, and negotiate contracts. In collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will analyse market trends, conduct competitor analysis, and develop customised solutions to meet client needs.
Job Scope:
Market Research and Analysis
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitors in the sustainable waste management industry.
- Analyze market needs and customer demands to identify viable business opportunities.
- Stay informed about local and international regulations and policies related to waste management and sustainability.
Strategy Development
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the company’s presence in the sustainable waste management sector.
- Identify new business models, product offerings, and market segments to target for business growth.
- Set short-term and long-term goals for the business unit in alignment with the company's overall objectives.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients in sectors such as manufacturing, construction, retail, and municipal governments.
- Develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and secure new business for waste management and recycling solutions.
- Educate clients on the benefits of sustainable waste management solutions and the company’s services.
Partnerships and Alliances
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with local authorities, private firms, and other stakeholders involved in sustainability and waste management.
- Work with environmental agencies and other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and promote sustainable practices.
Sales and Revenue Generation
- Drive sales and revenue targets by acquiring new business and expanding relationships with existing clients.
- Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing, ensuring a steady pipeline of new projects and contracts.
Project Management and Implementation Support
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure the effective implementation of waste management solutions for clients.
- Oversee the execution of projects to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and sustainability goals.
- Monitor project progress, resolve any issues, and ensure client satisfaction.
Sustainability Reporting and Compliance
- Ensure the company’s waste management practices comply with environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
- Support the development of sustainability reports and other communication materials showcasing the company’s contributions to environmental conservation.
Networking and Brand Development
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and seminars to build the brand and attract new business.
- Promote the company’s sustainability efforts and success stories through various marketing channels and public relations activities.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and sustainability teams to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
