About the Role

We are seeking an innovative and proactive Branding and Marketing Manager to lead our Chinese marketing initiatives and support international student recruitment efforts. This role demands expertise in event planning, content creation, and managing digital platforms in both Chinese and English. Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality visual storytelling content, combining creative writing, video production, photography, and design for various mediums.

3. Social Media Management

• Oversee content creation, scheduling, and engagement across platforms such as WeChat, Weibo, Xiaohongshu, Zhihu, Douyin, TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
• Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimise content performance and audience engagement.

4. Creative Production Coordination

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to manage the production of marketing collateral, including videos, photography, brochures, posters, and event resources.
• Ensure all marketing materials align with the organisation’s branding guidelines and messaging strategies.

5. Public Relations and Crisis Management

• Act as a key point of contact for handling crisis communications and public opinion events, ensuring timely and effective resolution while protecting the brand’s reputation.
• Develop and implement proactive public relations strategies to enhance brand credibility and outreach.

6. Campaign Execution and Monitoring

• Assist in developing and executing multi-platform marketing campaigns, including social media ads, print materials, and event-specific resources.
• Track and report campaign performance metrics to measure ROI and improve future initiatives.

7. Trend Analysis and Innovation

• Stay updated on emerging trends in education, social media, and marketing strategies to keep campaigns fresh, relevant, and competitive.
• Integrate data-driven insights into campaign planning and content development.

8. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and agencies to ensure successful implementation of branding and marketing initiatives.
• Align marketing efforts with organisational goals, fostering a cohesive brand image and message across all touchpoints.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, communications, event planning, journalism, digital media, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in the related fields.
• Fluent in both spoken and written Chinese and English, with the ability to create original content and liaise with Chinese-speaking vendors.
• Proven experience in event planning and project management, with strong skills in marketing communications, branding, or media relations.
• Familiarity with video editing, digital storytelling, and presentation software is a plus.

Job Summary

The Senior Marketing Executive / Assistant Manager supports the Marketing and Communications team by coordinating and executing luxury lifestyle & F&B retail marketing, PR activations, social media content creation and campaigns with the objective of driving sales while maintaining the brand’s luxury marketing position. This role requires an understanding of retail and digital marketing; public relations; social media management; programmatic & social advertising; and SEO.

Primary Relationships

The position reports to Marketing Manager.

Within the organisation, this position has primary working relationships with the Marketing, PR, Social Media, Operations and Warehouse teams, as well as staff with similar positions within subsidiaries and franchises.

Outside the organisation, the position coordinates primarily with service providers such as marketing, PR and media agencies; as well as within strategic partners marketing teams such as other luxury brands, malls airlines, banks etc.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Marketing Manager on an annual marketing calendar and translate this vision into a coherent strategy which can be implemented in the local market as well as overseas markets.
• Implement and execute marketing campaigns that will enhance the brand’s image and positioning within the marketplace and the general public.
• Collaborate with relevant team to create comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with business goals. Identify target audiences, select appropriate digital channels, and develop tactics to reach and engage them effectively.
• Plan, execute and monitor marketing campaigns across various channels, including search engines, social media advertising, email marketing and content marketing. Optimise campaigns based on performance metrics and insights.
• Monitoring and analysing the performance of marketing campaigns, including data collection, report preparation and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in the development and execution of creative marketing plans that is aligned with the corporate strategy and brand image.
• Copywrite, edit and proof-read marketing materials in both English and/or Mandarin.
• Assist to respond in a timely manner to partnership and collaboration requests in order to drive both revenue and brand awareness through tie-ups, collaborations, product placements, sponsorships, events, etc. This includes outreach, contract execution and seeing through deliverables.
• Manage relationships with mall management team to work towards having more visibility for the brand through branding and advertising opportunities, act as the brand’s representative and point-of-contact and implement marketing campaigns to enhance brand’s image and positioning.
  • Branding and advertising opportunities can include negotiations for complimentary physical and digital advertisement spaces/ directional signages/ visual merchandising units/social media features or even through selected events.
• Assist to strategise and respond to marketing initiatives and campaigns requested by landlords, franchisees and subsidiaries around the world.
• Coordinate production of branded materials and ensure consistent articulation of the brand’s desired luxury image and positioning across the brand’s advertising, print and electronic materials through marketing assets and strategic placement within vicinity of brand presence through the use of way-finders, lightboxes, posters, landlord’s website etc.
• Stay updated on industry trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activities. Analyse market data to identify opportunities and provide recommendations for improving marketing strategies.

Requirements

• Preferred degree in marketing, business management or related.
• At least 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, previous experience in the luxury retail industry would be a plus.
• Written and spoken native fluency in English and Mandarin; additional language(s) are a plus.
• Proficient but not limited to MS Office, Meta & Google business management platforms, Knowledge of Google AdWords, social media management platforms, e-mail marketing and etc.
• Familiarity with social media (management tools, software and knowledge of social media tracking) is advisable.

Role Overview:

The Marketing Communications (Marcom) Manager will play a pivotal role in planning and executing media strategies with industry media, enhancing visitor experiences, and developing high-quality marketing content. This role requires strong writing skills, the ability to conceptualise engaging content for marketing collaterals and press releases, and effective bilingual communication in English and Mandarin.

The ideal candidate will also oversee the visitor journey, ensuring seamless experiences from visa facilitation to onsite hospitality and badge registration services.

Reporting to the Head of Marcom, the candidate is expected to fulfil the following key responsibilities:

A) Media Planning & Strategic Communications

1. Develop and execute comprehensive media plans in collaboration with industry media partners to maximise event visibility.

2. Manage relationships with key media outlets and industry publications to ensure extensive coverage for ITMA and ITMA Asia exhibitions.

3. Organise press conferences, media briefings, and public relations activities to promote the exhibition(s), including supporting the Communications Director leading the public relations activities in specific exhibition editions.

4. Write and manage press releases, speeches, and media kits to promote the exhibition(s).

B) Content Development

1. Conceptualise, write, and edit engaging content for marketing collaterals, including brochures, newsletters, advertisements and promotional materials.

2. Ensure consistent messaging across all integrated marketing materials

3. Craft clear and impactful press releases and media kits tailored to various audiences.
