About the Role: As a Sales Business Development Manager, your role involves growing business by nurturing client relationship. You should be self-driven, ability to identify new business opportunities, expand market presence, maintain strong relationship with clients, ability to cover entire sales and marketing cycle and with product experience in maritime solutions. You should also have deep understanding of the maritime industry and have network to executive profiles in the chartering, manager and ship-owner offices, build up over the years.
You should not only professional but also a skilled communicator capable of attracting new business and clients. The ideal candidate will have a natural talent for sales talk, building strong client relationships, and driving our business growth.
Responsibilities:-
ยท Responsible for the Sales effort in regions assigned
ยท Develop markets assigned
ยท Generate sales leads
ยท Weekly and Monthly Sales updates to the management
ยท Manage and handle customersโ relations, feedback and complaints
ยท Be familiar and keep up to date of market requirements and user needs
ยท Drive sales activities for existing and new channels
ยท Be actively involved in trade shows, trade advertisements and other marketing communications activities
ยท Responsible for reports covering CRM, sales pipeline, activities, performance and plans
ยท Responsible for bid management
ยท Work closely with the Group sales network to increase the commercial pipeline
You should have:-
ยท Attract and engage new clients with compelling sales presentations
ยท Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence
ยท Proven sales track record in the maritime business (Min. +5 yearsโ experience)
ยท Experienced in selling to shipowners and charterers, B2B
ยท Experience with direct sales, marine sales, marine solutions
ยท Able to travel frequently
ยท Hunter type with ability to close the order
ยท Experience with selling hardware or software solutions will have an added advantage
ยท Knowledge of Shipping and Offshore sectors
ยท Experience with energy optimization in the maritime business is an advantage
ยท Experience with marketing and production of marketing materials is an advantage
ยท Previous experience as mariner, technical, commercial experience in the relevant industry is an advantage
Qualification : Tertiary educated with recognized degree qualification preferred
