Job Summary

The purpose of the position is to improve and support products within Video Solutions in Cartrack. The role requires the incumbent to fully understand Video products, their functionality, and processes. This includes the (linux based) server and database setup, the camera hardware, firmware and, to a limited extent the product front end/website functionality.

The incumbent will be expected to liaise with various teams, locally and internationally - development, sales and support to ensure the current products function as expected while identifying gaps in the current offering.

The incumbent will deal with local and international suppliers to integrate, support and improve existing products. New products will be evaluated and business cases for their integration, and the coordination of integration will be required.

Responsibility

● Product Development

o Collect data from stakeholders and collate product requirements

o Prioritize requirements and manage development backlog

● Global Support

o Assist with rollout of new video products globally.

o Assist with testing and integration of new video products and features globally.

o Train and assist global teams to allow them to fully utilize and support clients on the Video products.

o Assist staff with escalated calls and queries that relate to Video Solutions.

o Communicate new features or products to staff and ensure thorough coaching that they are competent to assist clients.

● Technical Assistance

o Investigate returned/faulty devices to find root-cause, identify trends and improve.

Requirements

● Relevant Qualification / Certificate in a technical field (BTech Mechatronics, Electronic/Industrial/Computer Engineering or similar)

● 5 years’ experience in development/technical role

● Programming experience (Essential)

● Understanding of Electronic Principles (Essential)

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• This position will support operational readiness of a new facility.
• Provide quality oversight of Quality Management System. This includes establishment of Quality Management Standards, System Policies and SOP.
• Active role to establishing GMP compliance.
• Responsible to review and approve GMP documentation (e.g. Policies, SOPs, batch records, deviations, investigations, CAPA and change controls etc.) associated with Facilities, Utilities and Equipment, Materials, Production, Laboratories, Packaging and Labelling to ensure batches are produced and tested in compliance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve deviations and laboratory investigations according to established procedures. This includes reviewing and approving the investigation reports, ensuring the adequacy of the root cause analysis and associated corrective actions and/or preventive actions, performing the impact assessment together with the subject matter experts for quality/validation/stability/regulatory impact.
• Provide support for the implementation of electronic quality systems (e.g. Master Control, Documentum, Trackwise, Viva) as required.
• Handle product complaints. Ensure complaints are investigated thoroughly with effective CAPAs to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure issues are escalated according to site procedures.
• Disposition intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (API).
• Maintain current quality tracking systems and quality metrics to proactively identify trends and atypical observations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional team to prepare Annual Product Record Reviews, discuss trends and atypical observations and recommend improvement actions.
• Participate in process risk assessments (e.g. FMEA) as part of new product introductions and/or process changes.
• Participate in gap analysis of site procedures and propose required actions to address identified gaps and mitigate risks.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure the internal controls are effective.
• Maintain inspection readiness and support inspections from regulatory agencies and customers.
• Actively participate in GMP walk downs to ensure site operation and facility maintained in inspection ready state and adhere to site procedures and PQS.
• Support the maintenance of validated state of GMP systems and processes.
• Support regulatory submissions and attend to regulatory queries in a timely manner.
• Mentoring team members within the Quality Assurance team as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum a degree or diploma in the scientific field (Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing etc.)

Required Skills/Experience

• Degree with at least 4-5 years or Diploma with at least 6-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance Functions in a highly regulated cGMP manufacturing environment (ATMPs, Biologics and Pharmaceuticals etc). Candidates with experience in ATMPs/Biologics manufacturing are highly preferred.
• Ability to prioritize work and multitask.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of current regulatory requirements of GMP Biologics and Pharmaceutical industries. Validation experience is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of PIC/s, ICH, USFDA, EU and HSA requirements and guidelines.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Biologics manufacturing, aseptic operations and cleanroom behavior.
• A demonstrated ability to supervise, train, and manage technical staff.
• Demonstrated knowledge in Quality Control operations as it relates to method validations and QC system implementation is an added advantage.
• cGMP regulations and audit experience in ICH, USFDA, EU and HSA etc.
