As a Product Development Specialist, you will report to and work closely with the Chief Technology Officer to identify, prioritize and design key activities that align with Ants Innovate’s commercialization goals. The key measure of success of a Product Development Specialist is the successful development of functional ingredients from laboratory to commercialization.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Product development of functional ingredients, including end-product prototyping, quality and safety evaluations, and production scale-up.
• Develop novel or improved functional ingredient characteristics using both analytical and sensory methods (with supervisor and R&D team).
• Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for validated production methods and processes.
• Support sample tasting sessions and product demonstrations.
• Maintain proper documentation to support product costing, scale-up and manufacturing.
• Perform regular house-keeping of the laboratory/test kitchen.

The Role

We require a full-time teacher to work in the Languages & Classics Faculty who can teach Spanish across the full 11-18 age range. The school offers Spanish at A Level and IB (Higher and Standard level) and, whilst it is not a pre-requisite, experience in either port-16 pathway, would be an added advantage. The Faculty is committed to the use of Technology for Learning, so an interest and experience in this methodology is also desirable.

• To use information gained from assessment, recording and reporting procedures to generate further improvement in student achievement.
• Assist the AHOF in the setting and marking of school examinations and to supervise entries for external examinations.
