The primary responsibilities of a Talent Acquisition Specialist include the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent in a multi-site organization. They maintain effective relationships with social and professional networks to source qualified candidates.

A critical component involves screening applications, managing interviews, and overseeing the hiring process, including the negotiation of salaries and employment contracts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement strategic recruiting initiatives to attract diverse talent.
• Build and maintain relationships with social and professional networks to source qualified candidates.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
• Lead recruitment efforts for full-time employees, including managing the end-to-end hiring process.
• Screen applications, conduct interviews, and manage the overall hiring process.
• Negotiate salaries and employment contracts with successful candidates.
• Design and update job descriptions to ensure alignment with department needs and company goals.
• Organize and participate in job fairs and recruitment events to enhance the company’s talent pool.
• Support employer branding initiatives in collaboration with the marketing team to ensure a consistent company image.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
• Proven experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related HR role.
• Familiarity with online recruiting platforms, such as LinkedIn, and other professional networks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
• Ability to handle multiple recruitment projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience negotiating salaries and employment terms.

GOOD TO HAVE:

• Certifications such as Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
• Experience in recruiting for diverse roles across various departments and industries.
• Background in employer branding or collaboration with marketing teams to promote the company.
• Familiarity with sourcing tools and modern recruitment strategies, including data-driven decision-making.

Support Teaching and Learning

• Provide multimedia support (e.g., photography, video production, live streaming etc.) to facilitate the delivery of lessons and events, and support administration tasks for teaching and learning (e.g., burning CDROMs for listening comprehension, printing of media resources etc.)
• Provide in-class support to teachers implementing ICT integrated lessons (e.g., navigate and troubleshoot apps and productivity tools in class for teachers and students)
• Provide technical advice in terms of multimedia hardware and software that the school can purchase to support the teaching and learning in curricular and co-curricular areas
• Proficient at administering Google Classroom environment for school
• Able to provide Google Suite for Education support to school (staff and students) in troubleshooting and training

Assist in Multimedia Production and Training

• Provide videography/photography/live-streaming/video-conferencing support for coverage of school events and functions
• Provide editing and post-production works using software e.g., Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects
• Plan and implement multimedia training e.g., on Adobe Suite software (Photoshop, Premier Pro, After Effects, Flash, Illustrator), photography and videography, for staff and students
• Work closely with ICT team (e.g., ICT Associate, Desktop Engineers) on multimedia requirements and support required by staff and students

Management of Multimedia Equipment and Inventory

• Perform maintenance and upkeep of multimedia equipment
• Maintain usage and service records of multimedia equipment and replacement
• Manage loans of multimedia equipment via school standardised loan procedures
• Perform asset checks of multimedia equipment
• sourcing for procurements, monitoring expenses and budget for costs incurred as part of maintenance and/or replacements

Other Duties

• Ad-hoc maintenance and update of school website
• Other duties pertaining to the area of multimedia (e.g., provide digital drawings of maps, design of brochures and posters)

Qualifications
• Minimum requirement of a Diploma or equivalent relevant qualification

Skills

• Have knowledge and be able to use, troubleshoot and provide advice for:Multimedia and photo-editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Premier Pro, After Effects, Flash, Illustrator)
  Google Suite for Education
  
• Able to operate cameras (e.g., DSLR) and video-cameras
• Preferably have skills in designing posters and brochures for school events
• Preferably have skills to conduct live-streaming, video conferencing or equivalent in schools
• Preferably have skills to maintain and update websites of schools

Experience

• At least 2 years experience in working as a Multimedia Specialist or has experience in multimedia production for events, functions, and projects in schools
• Preferably have experience training students and working with teachers in multimedia in a school environment
• Preferably have experience managing and working in AV/Info-com club or equivalent in schools
• Preferably have experience to perform asset checks of multimedia equipment in schools
