You will be part of an IT infrastructure Support Team managing mission critical high-tech biometrics devices at critical locations of significant national interest. You will be trained to manage, troubleshoot and maintain the operational availability of these devices and to remedy faults to prevent operational downtime.

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:-

• Support the project teams in the implementation, installation and configuration of PCs/Workstations O.S., applications and related peripheral devices.
• Provide 1st level on-site IT support to the end-users on a 24x7 rotational shift, from 10 am to 10 pm/ 10 pm to 10 am, including Public Holidays.
• The successful applicants should be prepared to be deployed primarily at Tuas Checkpoint. The successful applicant could be deployed to the Tuas checkpoint in the future on a rotational basis.
• Provide findings and timely status updates to the Project Manager on major issues escalated by users.
• Perform daily health checks and inventory checks on the system.
• Experience in installation, configuration, troubleshooting of PC / peripheral devices and application maintenance support will be required.
• Hands-on experience in supporting end-users in a Windows (Windows clients) environment is required.

• Having prior exposure to IT operational environments is advantageous.
• A strong Team player with the ability to collaborate and willingness to support one another.
• Communicates well and has good interpersonal skills.
• independent and has ownership of his/her assigned tasks.
• Certification in Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma, ideally with a focus/specialization in IT.
• Have a keen interest in IT Service Management
• Willing to work on rotations.

In the course of your tenure as IT Support Engineer, you will learn and acquire the following:

• Experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of biometrics devices as well as the maintenance of related software applications.
• Hands-on experience in supporting high-tech devices in Windows (Windows clients) environment/platform.
• Understanding of IT Service Management where SLAs (service-level agreements), and KPIs (key performance indicators) need to be managed and adhered to.
• Familiarity with the fundamental scope of work typically delivered in IT Support Services.
• Ability to work under time-sensitive situations.
• Career progression to Lead a team in providing IT Support Services.

Responsibilities

• To be a senior member of the sales team driving sales to the clients of the firm
• The product perimeter is primarily surrounding Spot, Options and Structured Products but expertise should extend to cash rates and derivatives
• Drive expansion of client footprint, comprehensive user-mapping, price tiering and client profitability analytics
• Lead client meetings and presentations to articulate the merits of investment in the asset class, and how specific solutions may be appropriate for a client's portfolio
• Gather feedback and insights from markets and clients to help the development of new products, understand the needs of each client segment, what competitors do in terms of products
• Ensure clients receive excellent sales and after sales experience
• Mentor junior team members by sharing product expertise as well as work ethic

• Only candidates with a minimum 6-9 years relevant financial markets experience in sales and trading, or wealth management products will be considered
• Proven capabilities in building strong relationships with clients, and has existing relationships
• Strong technical knowledge on derivative products
• Proven track record in sales and people management
• Strong communicator and strategic thinker with presentation and organization skills
• Achiever who can translate strategy into plans and plans into actions
