A government agency is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join their team.
Your new company
As a Data Analyst, you will process and analyzes data to identify trends and early indicators of potential incidents that could affect the resilience and cybersecurity. You will also be responsible for analyzing and identifying potential cybersecurity threats by applying data analytics and threat-hunting techniques to big data. You will collaborate closely with cybersecurity counterparts to proactively trigger intervention actions based on the identified potential cyber threats.
Your new role
As the Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:
• Data Collection, Data Analysis, Data Visualization to identify trends and patterns
• Develop and validate hypotheses for threat hunting
• Generate insights and provide supporting evidence through Big Data Analytics for informed decision-making
• Assemble and disseminate intelligence to peers for swift intervention actions
• Data Management to ensure that data is stored securely and efficiently, following best practices and compliance regulations
• Continuously improving data processes and methodologies to enhance the quality and efficiency of data analysis
• Communicate concepts and findings in reports and presentations for senior stakeholders
What you need
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Data Science and Analytics or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in working with databases and big data analytics using Hadoop, Hive, and Spark, along with the ability to write complex SQL queries
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and their practical application (computer networking, network security, or system security); cybersecurity certifications are highly desirable
• Practical application experience with statistical methods and concepts such as regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and their appropriate usage
