A Project Officer position is currently available in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS).

The candidate will be part of the staff working on a project within the Division of Mathematical Sciences of the SPMS. The project aims to develop error-correcting techniques for constrained codes with emphasis on applications like DNA data storage and visible light communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Study and provide a survey on known algebraic and combinatorial techniques in correcting errors for constrained codes
- Design and develop new error-correcting schemes for constrained codes
- Identify new research directions in constrained codes for correcting errors
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Sciences in Computer Science or Mathematics
- Research experience in algebraic or combinatorial coding theory
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts in data storage
- Publication experience is strongly preferred
