RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct material and field research and verify facts before scripting for production.
• Provide advice to producers based on the facts/data gathered.
• Build script draft and sequence for content flow and eventually write good quality Chinese scripts for programme.
• Brainstorm interesting programme concepts and do presentation at pitch sessions.
• Source for talent and assess suitability of role based on requirement of programme.

• Minimum a degree in education with 2 years of working experience.

The Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB) is a premier research institute at A*STAR whose mission is to harness biology for transformational bio-therapeutics and diagnostics. In this role, you will be working with the IMCB researchers, grant agencies as well as A*STAR finance, councils, and the central research office to provide relevant grant-related support to the institute.

Job Description: the role includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Ensure that all grant proposal submissions meet the requirements as set by the respective granting agency.
• Review annual progress reports and final reports for various grants and ensure that these are submitted on time.
• Attend to requests from the granting agencies pertaining to budget scrubbing, letter of award and other steps required for timely activation of new grants.
• Assist investigators with changes related to their grants (deviation/variation requests).
• Work closely with A*STAR research office, councils, and finance regarding ad hoc requests for grant-related data and pending tasks.
• Serve as the institutional admin and help with creation and activation of accounts for grant-related portals such as IGMS and iGrants.
• Tabulate and track the grants of the institute to ensure easy extraction of grant data whenever required.
• Promptly attend to grant-related queries from investigators.
• Define timelines for internal review and approval SOP of grant calls and communicate to researchers for grant applications.
• Monitor, report and analyse grant application activities as well provide timely updates to management on grant status.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Life Science or equivalent.
• Preferably with at least 3 years of working experience.
• Experience and/or keen interest in work related to governance/ policy/ research administration, especially in the research & development sector, is an advantage.
• Good team player with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task and work independently.
• Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders across functional groups and levels.
• Interested in science and technology.
• Proficient in M365 and related applications.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our team of researchers applying discovery-directed approaches to elucidate fundamental aspects of eukaryotic cellular form, function, and evolution. Depending on the background and interests of the successful candidate, the work could also focus on the development of new methods to produce useful products from seaweed biomass. Job Description

1. Perform research in the following areas:

• Global performance analysis, including analysis of moored floating platforms and bottom-founded structures in wind, waves and current, to derive rigid body responses and/or
• Global structural dynamic analysis to derive structural responses for strength and fatigue assessment

2. Assist in conducting physical model tests, field experiments and numerical simulations to support the development of integrated physical-numerical modelling and simulations.

3. Collaborate with industry partners, affiliated research institutes and other relevant stakeholders to contribute to grant proposals for research funding consistent with the strategic goals of TCOMS.

4. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualification & Field of Study:

• Bachelor/Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Applied Mathematics or other related disciplines.

Work Experience:

Preferably relevant research/industry experience with competent knowledge in some of the following areas:

• Offshore engineering, marine engineering, hydrodynamics, naval architecture and ocean engineering.
• Prior knowledge in the following numerical methods/software/programming languages will be an advantage:
• CAD software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD
• Engineering tools such as WAMIT, SESAM, OrcaFlex and OpenFAST
• Finite Element analysis tools such as SESAM, ABAQUS
• Programming codes such as FORTRAN, Python, MATLAB, C++ or equivalent.

Bioinformatics Specialists: Machine Learning and Genome Data Analytics (Genome Institute of Singapore

We are looking for smart, motivated machine learning and data analytics researchers who can contribute to the development of new methods for understanding and diagnosing cancer. The candidate should have strong mathematical intuition and programming skills, and be comfortable working in a highly collaborative multidisciplinary environment that includes biologists, pathologists and medical oncologists. Requirements

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience

2. High proficiency in scripting language (Perl, Python and statistical languages such as R, particularly in the use of packages such as Bioconducter or Biopython)
