You will be supporting Mendaki Club’s (MClub) Secretariat Team, as an intern, and will have opportunities to learn and work in meaningful MClub programmes and/or projects. You will also provide basic assistance in the financial operations for the volunteer-led organization.

You will be expected to work between stipulated time on weekdays but will also be required to work on evenings and over weekends, to support executive committee meetings and programmes (claimable via working hours time-off).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Designing own research to be done based on topic of choice, that would be of benefit to MClub or the MM eco-system in Singapore.
• Supporting Data Team in creating, distributing, collecting, analysing and reporting of data and research for all MClub’s programmes.
• Supporting Data Team in analysing and implementing the best data management system for all MClub’s data and information.
• Supporting Programme Team to execute community programmes, benefitting the MM youths.
• Coordinating the logistical and administrative needs of community programmes.

• Learn how to frame and conduct research work that would be of benefit to the target.
• Learn how to articulate research findings in an effective and concise manner.
• Learn how to derive insights through data analysis.
• Learn about programme and event management in the context of volunteer-led initiatives for the MM community.
• Learn about the supporting roles of a Secretariat team in a volunteer-led initiatives for the MM community.
• Learn about MM community issues and efforts towards solving these issues.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma and/or waiting to be admitted to a University.
• Able to commit to a minimum internship period of 5 weeks.
• Able to work with a large amount of data meticulously.
• Have some experience in data analysis and data collection.
• Good inter-personal skills.
• Willing to learn and eager to try new things.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in implementing the VaaS framework.
• Study and migrate existing vulnerability patching techniques to the VaaS setting designed in this project.
• Design and implement software runtime repairing techniques under the VaaS settting.

• Minimum Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or closely related disciplines.
• Proficiency in C/C++ is required.
• Familiar with computer architecture. Understanding of hardware virtualization is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience and know-how on Linux kernel.
• Excellent working knowledge of binary execution.
• Good analytical, technical and problem solving skills.
• Applicants with research publications in system and software security areas will be advantageous.
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently and also collaboratively with team members.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth analyses on large datasets to gain a deeper understanding of beneficiaries
• Work with cross-functional teams to build and maintain dashboards to monitor and gain business insights. Guide users on creating and using reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders
• Prepare data for regular and ad-hoc reporting based on organization needs
• Contribute to the improvement of business operations through automation
• Improve data collection & analysis processes to achieve efficiency and productivity
• Foster data literacy across the product organization and establish standards for data-informed decision-making
• Liaise with external agencies like the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Social and Family Development on data relating to our beneficiaries
• Support and jointly participate in in-house research using data and also external research projects where necessary
• Support Board meetings and preparations of materials for reporting to Board and Exco

Job Requirements:

• Relevant degree in business analytics, data analytics, computer science or other similar field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Excellent quantitative analysis, use of spreadsheets and modeling tools
• Strong communication and presentation skills to interface with stakeholders
• Salesforce & business objects expert with extensive reporting and dashboard skills and experience in Power BI would be an added advantage
• Good team player and collaborative
• Must be self-motivated with a strong focus on delivery
• Familiar with Personal Data Protection Act
