As part of IME Integrated Circuit Design and System Department, we are seeking a candidate with relevant experience in analog integrated circuit design. We are looking to hire a highly motivated, experienced, Senior Director to head the National Platform - Multi User Wafer Fab (MUWF).

Competencies

• Experienced in semiconductor, manufacturing fab ramp-up, management of semiconductor production fab
• At least 10-15 years of executive-level operational experience

Responsibilities:

• To be the face of the organization, responsible for giving the proper strategic direction and implementing a high-quality vision.
• To oversee all operations, functions, and activities of the MUWF as a national cleanroom facility.
• To ensure on-time, on-budget startup of the facility
• To liase with JTC and its appointed contractors and A*STAR support groups, and ensure good decisions are made
• To provide monthly and key milestone updates to A*STAR management and stakeholders on outfitting MUWF progress
• To develop the MUWF to meet its goals, increase partnership opportunities, accelerate translational research and drive economic outcomes
• To develop and implement strategies that help to achieve the facility’s mission and objectives
• To promote and facilitate the use of the facility for knowledge management, so as to accelerate research (aka “Central Kitchen”)
• To develop tailor-made processes to meet the requirements of R&D, industry partners and low-volume high-mix prototyping
• To manage effectively the operations and administrative affairs of the facility
• To make key decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
• To oversee the facility’s financial and operational performance
• To implement sustainable 24/7 operations
• To ensure the facility is able to support the hosted research performers to do R&D, prototyping and (selectively) small volume production
• To assess and implement solutions for automating the facility

Be part of an exciting team working on cutting-edge advanced packaging process technologies. Participate in process development and integration solution to enable advanced packaging process technologies in the world of mobile, IoT, consumer and high-performance computing area. Partner and work with various teams from inside and outside of IME to help develop leading-edge packaging solutions for our customers, taking the solutions from concept to mass production. Responsibilities will include assisting in operations support in clean room to make sure projects are completed successfully and delivered on time.

This position is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

• Operate semiconductor equipment to perform processes, measurement, and inspection of wafers. (Include equipment setup, loading and unloading of wafers)
• Monitor basic equipment/process errors and perform recovery.
• Work with internal and external parties to align for tool time, execute process sequence and collect data to feedback to integration owner.
• Logistically transport wafer lots between equipment within cleanroom and between worksites.
• Identify and address potential areas for improvements such as cycle time, utilization, and cost.
• Perform chemical change/ top-up for equipment under supervision.
• Understand and follow all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) procedures and requirements.

Experience:

MedTech Catapult is a national initiative for accelerating the development of high-value MedTech projects through an in-house product engineering unit. This productization unit is responsible for supporting the development of technologies through the medical device development cycle to produce full-fledged hardware product systems. The Lead Engineer will report to the Lead, Product Engineering.

Job Responsibilities:

• To provide electronics and instrumentation design capability in support of the design, development, test and manufacture of safety critical products and processes for complex medical technology product solutions.
• To interact closely with engineers from other disciplines to achieve an optimized design within the stipulated project schedule.
• To design and develop PCB and control systems for next generation medical devices.
• To provide operational electronics development, prototype design and testing - both analogue and digital.

• Has a good knowledge and understanding of i) Processes of electronic product development and realization, ii) operation and design of electronic systems and circuits; iii) Regulations applying to medical devices, iv) Electronic device operation and fabrication and v) Electronic sensors, measurement systems and instrumentation.
• Experience with PCB design ? digital and analogue.
• Proficient in HDL languages (Verilog, System Verilog).
• Knowledge of ASIC design and sign-off.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Perl, or C/C++ is a plus.
• Experience with design, development or manufacture of photonic systems or photonics-enabled products is a plus.
• Experience with the use of simulation tools for electronic design is a plus.
• Experience with Medical device ISO standards including ISO9001, IS013485, ISO 14971 and IEC 60601-1 and managing QMS.
• Good collaboration skills, organised and detailed.
