The Postdoctoral Fellow will apply existing analytic pipelines and devise new algorithms to explore data derived from multiple DNA sequencing technologies (e.g., Illumina & Nanopore) to resolve cancer genome evolution at the clonal level. S/he will also analyse complementary data from other technologies, ranging from single-cell RNAseq to chromatin immunoprecipitation to chromatin accessibility (ATAC-seq), using a variety of novel cellular models established in Professor Venkitaraman’s laboratory. Job Description

The Cancer Science Institute of Singapore (CSI Singapore) Postdoctoral Fellowship seeks outstanding early-stage postdoctoral fellows who are interested to develop their career as independent, tenure-track faculty. The awardees will be hosted within established research labs at CSI Singapore to develop their independent research programs. They will receive a competitive base salary of up to SGD$93,000 per year (not including benefits such as CPF, bonus, medical, insurance) with an annual research grant of up to SGD$25,000 per year and equipment grant of SGD$5,000. Access to state-of-the-art core facilities will be provided. The fellowship funding period is up to three years.

The Fellowship role will manage projects and provide expertise on Health Equity, access to care, and social determinants of health. The Fellow will support the Forum’s work in developing Singapore as a Country Lighthouse, conduct research on its health system transformation, and share insights on health equity. He/She will also coordinate with regional working groups and engage with local and global partners, including the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) Network and the Accelerators Network, and contribute to the Forum's Health Equity strategy and broader global efforts.

The Health Equity effort in Singapore as well as the proposed pilot place-based change programme(s) will link to a broader global Global Health Equity strategy and pre-existing place-based change work (launching by the GHEN in 2024). This role is based in Singapore and hosted within the NUS Centre for Research in Health Systems Performance (CRiHSP).
