The Research Fellow will conduct both experimental and numerical research to develop more efficient lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) with enhanced thermoresponse capability

Key Responsibilities: 

• Development of new LIB fabrication, electrochemical characterization and thermal characterization facilities

• Development of new composite phase change materials (PCM) with enhanced thermoregulation capabilities for LIB and associated fabrication facilities

Overview

The Science of Learning in Education Centre (SoLEC) is a young research center with a vision is to become an international leader in Science of Learning in Education research. Hosted at the Office of Education Research (OER) in the National Institute of Education (NIE), the SoLEC conducts research that integrates insights from multiple fields, including neurosciences, cognitive science, psychology, sociology, education and other areas. The Research Associate/Research Fellow will help advance foundational knowledge in making polymer composite formulations for high performance stretchable waveguides. The Research Associate/Research Fellow will employ knowledge in polymer chemistry, composites and optics to develop novel polymer formulations.
