We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to join the Department of Medical Oncology, National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) and Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB), A*STAR, Singapore.
You will be part of a large collaborative project involving clinician-scientist, research fellows and clinical coordinators to profile the transition of lung cancers across different malignancy stages using bulk, single cell, and spatial RNA-sequencing technologies. You will aim to resolve the evolution and resistance of non-small cell lung cancer and implement correlation statistics with clinical variables.
You will lead on;
- Implementing and optimising existing computational tools for high throughput single-cell and spatial transcriptomic datasets at scale.
- Data interpretation and management for publications and grant reports.
- Establish novel genomics and bioinformatics tools for multimodal data integration.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, genomics or related technical discipline.
- Demonstrate proficiency in R or Python and Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- Experience with Docker and/or Singularity containerized jobs.
- Experience in using cloud computing infrastructure.
- Good publication records, with at least first author publications in high quality journals.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrate interest in cancer biology and high resolution genomics.
Note: Finalised candidate will be hired under A*STAR.
