Asian Thoracic Oncology Research Group (ATORG) is the coordinating platform for translational research for thoracic malignancies in Asia. Its mission is to advance medical knowledge of lung cancer and improve health outcomes of patients through clinical studies and scientific events.

Asia Pacific Oncology Drug Development Consortium (APODDC) was formed to foster education and collaboration between key stakeholders of cancer drug development within the Asia Pacific region, thereby improving treatment access to patients. APODDC drives regional activities in collaboration with institutions in the region and industry partners.

ATORG and APODDC operate centrally under the Clinical Trials and Epidemiological Sciences (CTE) division in National Cancer Centre Singapore.

The Senior / Executive will mainly organise events for ATORG and APODDC . Main Responsibilities:

Organise events (60%)

• Responsible for managing events from startup to execution
• Communicate effectively and manage internal and external stakeholders and service providers
• Plan timeline for each event
• Draft budget, including sourcing of funding and reconciliation of funding and expenses
• Handle all logistics, inclusive of procurement (eg. venue, online/travel arrangements) and on-site management during event
• Develop marketing materials such as posters and collaterals and for social media
• Write meeting minutes, if required
• Administer pre- and post-event follow ups
• Manage agreements between key stakeholders, vendors and industry partners
• Manage manuscripts from drafting to publication.

ATORG Operations (30%)

• Manage operational duties of ATORG; this includes procurement of stationery and devices, collating of department information, updating of mailing list.
• Act as a liaison for department administrative matters

Other Duties (10%)

• Assist in any other work as assigned, which may include administrative tasks

Job Description:

• Research and develop new technologies for smart building applications and advanced building controls.
• Based on the R&D outcome, design the air-conditioning system using Building Energy Modeling (BEM) and programming languages such as Python to develop new technologies and install them in real buildings.
• Use digital technology, such as data science and machine learning tools, and evaluate the application effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Lead the development of new technology related to smart buildings and advanced building controls and manage the entire R&D project, from scope definition to budget and risk management etc.
• As R&D project leader, provide design and commissioning consulting to customers for the application of newly developed HVAC systems to buildings.
• Conduct a survey and analyze the collected data along with BEM-based building controls to develop a new building environment focused on occupant comfort and behavior, guided by well-being research.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree or equivalent related to Architectural Engineering
• Advanced knowledge of building physics, indoor environmental quality, HVAC system, control theory, and human behavior
• Proficiency in building energy modeling (BEM) such as EnergyPlus and/or TRNSYS
• Proficiency in data science and machine learning with demonstrated skills in programming languages such as R and Python
• Experiences in implementing AI and BEM-based building controls considering individual occupants’ comfort and behavior
• Minimum 10 years experience as a Researcher
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Lead Researcher in research/building projects using BEM
• Good oral and written communication skills in both English and Japanese (native or N1 Japanese language level is required as the role required to collaborate with Japan HQ extensively.)

The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) shall help investigators conduct mainly investigator-initiated clinical trials. The CRC has to ensure that clinical trials are conducted and recorded in accordance with the protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines, all applicable regulatory requirements and the Clinical Trials Operations’ Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accomplish the study’s target enrolment as per agreed study timelines or shorter through effective recruitment strategies.
• Regular discussion or follow-up with study team on subject screening & recruitment rates eg. email communication or team meetings with Drs.
• Timely response/followup to email enquiries within 10 working days or less.
• Foster good working relationships and collaborate effectively across all streams to promote operational efficiency
• Invoicing is carried out on time and payment can be received with minimal delays.

Key Requirements:

The Net Zero Futures Lab (NZFL) at SUTD Design Z Centre is seeking a full-time post-doctoral Research Fellows.
The successful candidate will be involved in a research project developing machine-learning assisted walkability assessment for pedestrian-friendly and car-lite neighbourhoods, under supervision of Asst. Professor Peter Ortner and Deputy President, Professor Tai Lee Siang. A background in computational design, architecture, or urban design is required. Demonstrated experience with machine learning applications to urban data sets is encouraged.

About the position

This position is ideal for someone who is excited about computational urban design and sustainability research and looking to advance cutting edge research with new tools and exciting applications to real-world sites in collaboration with industry and public agencies.

Responsibilities/expectations will include:

• Urban dataset collection and preparation
• Generative modelling of urban networks and sites using NZFL software tools, further development of software tools (python, rhino grasshopper)
• Training of predictive and deep learning models (PyTorch)
• Support principal investigators in writing technical papers and project reports.
• Contribute to exceptional design proposals for real-world sites in Singapore

Duration

This is a contract position. The initial term of appointment will be 1 year, extensible for a second year upon satisfactory performance and with further extensions dependent on funding availability.

Required/Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Desired: PhD in architecture, urban design, computational urban analysis. Exceptional applicants with Master’s degree may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Proficient with Python or R.
• Experienced in computational architecture design with demonstrated prior research work with urban network analysis (space syntax, UNA or similar) and/or quantitative assessment of pedestrian experience.
• Visual design or planning skills, including ability to contribute to master planning documentation.
• Experience with machine learning or deep learning tools, and keen interest to advance these applications to design of sustainable urban spaces.

As a Research Associate at Lucence, you will be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the development and optimisation of new genomic medicine technologies in our fight against cancer.

Your key responsibilities would include:

• Working closely with R&D team members to establish and maintain a reliable molecular diagnostic product pipeline that fills critical R&D goals at Lucence.
• Planning and executing laboratory molecular diagnostic experiments to implement new assays and improve current assays, including analytical and clinical validation of assays.
• Writing summary reports, contributing to scientific discussions and presenting technical data to achieve R&D objectives and to advance R&D efforts.
• Contributing to research-oriented projects for clinical validation of tests (in collaboration with external organizations).

Security Assessment, Planning and Control

• Ensure the security compliance and proficiency of cloud services and virtualized environment,
• Conduct both annual and ad hoc security cloud outsourcing review stipulated by Head Office, country regulators and/or local outsourcing committee as and when required.
• Conduct monthly security access review for Human Capital Management Department.
• Develop, implement, and review security policies and user matrix to safeguard employee’s data.
• Respond to compliance team on security incidents and implement corrective actions,
• Provide training and awareness programs for Human Capital Management Department.
• Evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies.
• Ensure latest patches are applied to all Human Capital Management’s system in a timely manner.
• Develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity plan to ensure infrastructure resilience.

Project Management

• Be part of the HRIS project team as a designated project assignee, e.g., Project Manager, Security SME, Data SME etc., to help ensure project is planned and executed smoothly from initiation to closure.
• Represent Human Capital Management Department as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all Infra security and data integration matters for automation projects. Coordinate and implement solutions in accordance with security rules with Japan Head Office Security team, and ensure compliance with regulators PDPA requirements, if any.
• Act as liaison between end users, Human Capital Management team and IT team, wherever applicable, to understand business requirements for HR related Cloud (SaaS) solutions.

Job Requirements
