As a Quantitative researcher your responsibilities will include

• Develop new or improve existing trading models using in-house platforms
• Use advanced mathematical techniques to model and predict market movements
• Analyse large financial datasets to identify trading opportunities
• Provide real time analytical support to experienced traders

Requirements :

• Possess a degree in a highly analytical field, such as Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science from top ranked universities
• Quantitative bent of mind
• A working knowledge of Linux/Unix
• Programming experience, preferably in C++ or C
• No prior knowledge of financial markets is needed but must have a strong interest in learning about financial markets.
• Have a strong work ethics

Job Description:

• Analyse and track datapoints of various sectors;
• Assist in compilation of macro datapoints and trend analysis;
• Undertake adhoc research of emerging sectors and companies; and
• Any other adhoc project as instructed

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall tax compliance matters including corporate income tax, withholding tax, indirect taxes, transfer pricing study and etc.
• Prepare/review the annual tax returns and ensure compliance to tax laws and regulations
• Prepare/review the monthly corporate tax provision and tax accounting reporting (ie. deferred tax computation)
• Conduct tax research and assist in identifying tax planning ideas and improvement opportunities
• Liaise with various competent authorities in respect of the tax related queries/issues & audits
• Advise and provide support as and when required on the tax compliance and implication
• Review and advise tax related contract clause including new project tendering, procurement contract and etc.
• Keep abreast on the latest development of new legislation and tax updates and advise for full compliance
• Other ad-hoc duties/tasks to be assigned as and when required.

Requirement:

• At least 5 years of experience in taxation, customs and finance
• Candidate shall have more than 5 years tax experience in commercial or professional firms
• Professional experience in taxation with audit/tax firms preferred
• Tax Consultancy background preferred
• Proficient in Excel
