• Work with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers towards research and innovation in microbial gas fermentation (e.g. conversion of CO2 to acetate)
• Have an interest in developing biological solutions for decarbonization, sustainable chemical production, and circularity for plastics

Job Requirements

• A PhD degree with substantial laboratory experience is required, preferably in Biochemical/Chemical Engineering or Industrial Microbiology/ Biotechnology.
• Possess proficiency in microbial strain screening and hands-on experience with anaerobic/aerobic fermentation in bioreactors.
• Preferred experience with new bioreactor prototype design, fabrication and operation. Prior experience with pilot-plant scale fermentation and lab-set-up and equipment procurement is desirable.
• Preferred capability to consistently conduct enzyme engineering and expression.
• A team player who is self-motivated and enjoy applied research work in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Experience in grant writing or grant application is good-to-have.

Research Associate Position in genome editing lab

The CRISPR and Genome Editing Lab led by Assistant Professor HU Chunyi, is a dynamic addition to the Department of Biological Sciences at the National University of Singapore. Currently, we are in search of a dedicated Research Associate to contribute to a research project focused on the study of CRISPR-Cas immunity systems and the development of genome editing tools.

We invite applications from highly motivated individuals with a background and/or keen interest in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Exceptional laboratory skills are a prerequisite and demonstrated experience in molecular/microbiology would be highly advantageous. 1. Perform research in the following areas:

• Global performance analysis, including analysis of moored floating platforms and bottom-founded structures in wind, waves and current, to derive rigid body responses and/or
