• Design, implement and optimize algorithms (e.g. SLAM) for real-time, high-precision localization of autonomous vehicles using sensor fusion of GNSS/IMU/DR, LiDAR, cameras, HD Map, and other sensors.
• Develop and maintain high-definition (HD) maps for autonomous driving applications. Work on the creation, updating, and management of detailed maps that include lane information, road geometry, traffic lights/signs, and other relevant features.
• Improve perception models for feature detection and tracking. Use deep learning and computer vision techniques to detect key features such as road boundaries, obstacles, and dynamic objects to enhance mapping and localization accuracy.
• Develop test plans, perform validation, and run simulations and testing to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and safety of mapping and localization systems in both controlled and real-world environments.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in localization, mapping, and autonomous driving technologies. Lead efforts to continuously improve the performance and capabilities of our mapping and localization systems.
• Write professional design and technical documentation.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Vision, Deep Learning and AI, or a related field.
• Working experience in localization, mapping, or autonomous driving systems is preferred.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Fellow will design and execute experiments in M. tuberculosis infection of mice, processing of samples, and associated readouts including flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, molecular biology including immunofluorescence. The Chiba group in CCEB is pursing development of new synthetic routes that allows for efficient synthesis of biologically active complex organic molecules of pharmaceutical interests.

The Research Fellow will take on a significant role in the development of new molecular transformations driven by electricity and light for the synthesis of complex molecules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily experiments and analyze data obtained from experiments
• Oversee the project team to ensure timely progress and achievement of research goals.
• Submit weekly reports summarizing experimental results and progress.
• Present research updates in group meetings through oral presentations.
• Assist in planning and preparing future funding proposals.
• Summarize research findings for paper publications.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in synthetic organic chemistry with more than 5 years’ experience in the relevant areas as graduate and/or postdoctoral fellow level in advanced institutions
• Proficiency in using various analytical equipment such as NMR, Mass Spec, IR, UV-vis and Potentiostat
• Ability to handle air-sensitive materials and work with transient species in synthetic chemistry
