This project focusing on emerging diseases in Borneo and is conducted in collaboration with an international consortium of universities in Malaysia, Singapore and the UK. This position offers the opportunity to work on ground-breaking research projects in the broad areas of environmental change, infectious disease surveillance, spatial epidemiology, machine learning and global health.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct high quality research in epidemiology, machine learning and/or meta-analyses to identify impacts of environmental change on infectious disease dynamics and design targeted surveillance approaches;
• Develop and implement statistical methods, computational models and/ or machine learning algorithms to analyse environmental and infectious disease data;
