Prof Mary Chan-Park and her team have recently won a highly competitive large grant on the design, synthesis and studies of the improved RNA delivery vehicles.

Prof Mary Chan-Park is currently the Centre Director of the Centre for RNA Delivery Therapeutics. She is also the current President Chair Professor of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (2024 onwards) and the 2019 Board of Trustees Chaired Professor of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (2019-2024), both at the Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU Singapore). She also holds a joint appointment at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at NTU. She is the Director of the Centre for Antimicrobial Bioengineering and the Director of the NTU Laboratory for RNA Delivery Therapeutics. She is a Fellow of the America Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering.

The Research Fellow will take on a significant role to develop stimuli-responsive nanoparticle formulations. New alternative delivery vehicles for the promising RNA nanomedicine are urgently needed to replace the current ones to achieve great delivery efficacy with less side effects. The Centre has launched the “Digital Healthcare Transformation (DHT) Initiative,” a multi-year program to boost public-private partnerships in digital health, data, and AI. Singapore, a leader in healthcare delivery and equity due to its investment in digital health, will be highlighted as a World Economic Forum Centre for Health and a Healthcare Country Lighthouse. Job Description

The Fellowship role will manage projects and provide expertise on Health Equity, access to care, and social determinants of health. The Fellow will support the Forum’s work in developing Singapore as a Country Lighthouse, conduct research on its health system transformation, and share insights on health equity. He/She will also coordinate with regional working groups and engage with local and global partners, including the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) Network and the Accelerators Network, and contribute to the Forum's Health Equity strategy and broader global efforts.

The Health Equity effort in Singapore as well as the proposed pilot place-based change programme(s) will link to a broader global Global Health Equity strategy and pre-existing place-based change work (launching by the GHEN in 2024).
