Purpose of the role

The internal application of generative AI (Gen AI) within our core Research and Consulting operations will be pivotal to our ability to optimise and interpret sources, accelerate the production of deliverables and augment our collective human intelligence.

Gen AI clearly has a huge potential for our industry and our business, but the successful implementation required to deliver on that potential requires focus, partnership, planning and communication.

Across the business, we have a wealth of research knowledge, technical skills, and interest in AI that we need to harness in a thoughtful and coordinated way. To that end, the Director of Gen AI will continue to lead the commercial application and integration of generative AI into Passport and our other client-facing platforms. Our Enterprise Technology function will focus on driving broader AI adoption across business-wide applications such as Microsoft Copilot. Scope of works:

Science Laboratory cum Art Assistant

• Manage operational and maintenance tasks in Science Labs and Art Rooms.
• Operate simple life science equipment.
• Prepare and set up equipment for experiments.

• Maintain and update data records, including stocktaking.
• Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing and typing.

Job Description

• To supervise the project to ensure that the works are constructed in accordance to the project specifications, construction drawings and Building Control Act and Regulations.
• Manage and supervise the RTOs in performing their duties on site so that they can provide satisfactory supervision.
• Provide administrative control and maintaining proper records including site attendance, leave records, overtime records and inspections checklists.
• Review Contractor's submissions, work method statements and work demonstrations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and resolving site discrepancies to prevent delays.
• Attend site meetings, highlighting foreseeable problems and recommending possible solutions.

Requirements

• Process RE (C&S) certificate
• Minimum eight (8) years of Resident Engineer work experience supervising LAB/institute building/school building, with strong knowledge of bored piling, precast structures, and structural steel.

EDDC now has an opening and is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced leader for the Computational Sciences group. The successful candidate will be leading the computational biology and information system groups and providing strategic guidance to the discovery leadership teams and the EDDC management team in leveraging the power of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to accelerate the drug discovery and development processes, including novel target identification.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of software engineers, data engineers, computational biology, bioinformatic, IT professionals, and data scientists to support and contribute to all the discovery projects.
• Drive the implementation of cross-functional data integration & workflow automation aimed at fostering data-driven and AI-driven approaches to drug discovery and validation.
• Lead strategic planning and execution of artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) initiatives, with a focus to support AI-augmented drug design and development, addressing 'undruggable’ targets, and expediting processes.
• Cultivate and sustain robust collaborative relationships with various functions within the Discovery unit and across relevant divisions within EDDC.
• Establish, lead and actively contribute to key partnerships with academic and industrial entities within Singapore or globally to enable the smooth access of patient-derived data, support the novel target discovery and evaluation efforts.
• Oversee all IT operation infrastructure, propose strategic solutions and recommend new systems and software.

Requirements:

• A Ph.D. in computer science, data sciences, bioinformatics, computational biology, or related fields.
• An MBA is an added advantage.
• A minimum of ten years of leadership experience in the pharma/biotech industry, with a strong background in the application of computational biology and AI/ML to research, translational and clinical programs.
• Domain knowledge in at least one therapeutic area such as oncology, immunology, and inflammation.
• Proven track record of developing and launching industry-grade computational biology software platforms, with demonstrated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and pipeline impact.
• Hands-on experience with the AWS cloud platform and relevant certifications is preferred.
• Excellent executive communication, collaboration and leadership skills are essential.
• Sound working knowledge of IT operation, systems, and developments.

• Create and simulate practical & efficient junction terminations.
• Model transport and carrier scattering in devices operating under extreme ambient conditions.

• >2-3 years industrial experience for high power devices design and modeling.
• Thorough understanding of different types of high-voltage, high-power MOSFETs including Planar, Trench, Super-Junction MOSFETs, and IGBTs, with a focus on design and device characterizations.
• Hands-on skill in designing MOSFET/diode layouts.
