The Signature Research Programme in Health Services & Systems Research (“HSSR”) in Duke-NUS Medical School is a centre of academic excellence for research and education on the organisation, funding and delivery of health services. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing chemical processes for synthesizing organic compounds, intermediates, and target molecules. Responsibilities

· Design, plan, and execute organic synthesis experiments to develop and optimize chemical processes to produce targeted compounds. This includes the synthesis of novel molecules and the modification of existing synthetic routes.

· Conduct in-depth analysis of synthesized compounds, including assessing their properties, stability, and performance in various applications.

· Perform analytical and spectroscopic techniques (e.g., NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, IR) to characterize and validate the identity and purity of synthesized compounds.

· Collect, record, and analyze experimental data, maintaining accurate and detailed records. Interpret results and troubleshoot reactions as needed.
