Senior Analyst Fundamental Research Asia Pacific is an operational role and is part of the department Financial Markets Asia/Pacific.

This position is active in providing fundamental research on covered bonds and financial institutions for clients in the capital markets business in Asia/Pacific and Europe. It serves as the central contact for research topics in Asia/Pacific. Additionally, it develops research topics to meet the department's objectives and the objectives of LBBW Research, while maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and between Asia Pacific and Head Office.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities

1) Fundamental Research Analyst for Financials/Covered Bonds

• Responsibility, ensuring coverage in terms of both quality and quantity and publication of Research on the following topics:

1. Covered Bonds in general and covered bond programmes of selected jurisdictions
2. Selected Financial Institutions
3. Research for primary market transactions

• Responsibility for regulatory issues related to covered bonds and financials.
• Responsibility and development of Covered Bond Research of LBBW Research
• Marketing and presentation of research results in Asia/Pacific and Head Office.

2) Multiplicator role for Research in Asia/Pacific

• Responsibility as the primary point of contact for research-related topics at the LBBW Singapore Branch; Leverage established networks: internally (e.g., Sales, DCM, LBBW AM in Head Office); externally (e.g., rating agencies, associations).
• Representing Research in Financial Markets Asia/Pacific externally and internally and in LBBW Head Office.
• Holding regular and ad-hoc meetings with relevant colleagues in Financial Markets Asia/Pacific and Head Office to coordinate research tasks

As the Research Engineer (Equipment/Operations), you are directly involved in tool installation activities for semiconductor process tools. You would need to work proactively to coordinate with the contractor on the ground for the execution and take corrective and preventive actions of lessons learned, due diligently to prevent reoccurrence. We are seeking to recruit a proactive and motivated research assistant to join the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein at the National University of Singapore (NUS) launched on 5 September 2024, the first of its kind in Asia to advance research in alternative proteins. Led by experts from NUS and research institutes in Singapore, the Centre aims to drive global food security and accelerate regional innovation. The focus will be on microalgae research and biomass fermentation, to produce high-quality, affordable, and sustainable microbial proteins from microalgae and biomass fermentation that can be further developed into cultured meat and plant-based protein hybrids. Microbial proteins will be cultivated through fermentation and processed using emerging bio-physical techniques for effective biotransformation, to improve digestibility, flavour, and nutritional profile. As a research assistant, you will assist with conducting and monitoring microalgal cultivation bioprocesses via analytical techniques to achieve maximal product titres, yields, and rates. You will also assist with processing the microbial proteins for optimal digestibility, flavour, and nutritional profiles. The candidate will work closely with postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers. Appointments will be initially made on a 1-year contract, renewable for up to 5 years.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research activities in accordance with the Centre objectives involving but not limited to:
i. Conversion of industrial food side-streams into media suitable for microalgae cultivation.
ii. Microalgae cultivations in flask and benchtop bioreactors under batch, fed batch, or continuous modes.
