We are looking for a full-time pre-doctoral student to work as a Research Associate on INSEAD’s Singapore campus. This position is ideal for recent Master’s graduates looking to develop their research skills, with a view of applying to a PhD program. We are looking for someone who is good at managing data and in particular using software packages such as Stata, Python, and R. Ideally, they would also have experience working on a research project in the social sciences. The Research Associate core mission is to assist the school’s Strategy faculty in conducting research.

TASKS:

• Assist with quantitative research projects in the areas of strategy and management.

Purpose of the post

The successful candidate should have a strong background in advanced machine learning, artificial intelligence, and bioinformatics techniques with practical applications to biological / -omics data. Specifically, he or she will be responsible for data analysis and for developing advanced computational models, algorithms, and tools to analyse and interpret complex biological datasets derived from multi-omics data. • Collaborate across teams, assisting in multiple research projects at once
• Assist research PIs to ensure the successful and timely completion of the project(s)
• Any other tasks assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum Masters’ degree in a relevant discipline
• Candidates interested in Cities and any of the below research modules are encouraged to apply:
  1. Climate Resilience
  2. Ageing and Health
  3. Transportation and Land Use
  4. Urban Observatory
• Proficient in Data analysis and visualisation tools in quantitative research or any relevant software and tools
• Keen interest in Cities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Adaptable and able to multitask well with clear follow-through
• Commitment to the ongoing development of a positive organisational culture
• Willingness to contribute to a learning environment
