Principal Responsibilities

HSBC is accelerating its research effort on developing advanced computing methods including innovative classical, hybrid and quantum algorithms with a focus on applications within Financial Services. Qualifications

• Experience in quantum algorithm development and application in the areas of optimization, machine learning, or complex simulation
• Published research in at least one of the aforementioned topics
• Demonstrated communication of scientific results at research conferences or other colloquia
• Familiarity with quantum computers and implementation of quantum algorithms on such hardware
• Programming experience in classical and quantum algorithms. Expertise in Python quantum SDKs (qiskit, circ, etc)

Overview*

What You Will Be Doing

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with CESG leadership and project leads to drive CESG's evidence-based projects from development and implementation to reporting and communication phases.
• Manage CESG's research and evidence-based projects, including project administration, research design, literature review, data collection and analysis, documentation, reporting, and post-project engagement
• Develop, support and/or co-lead new projects relating to CESG's strategic priorities
• Plan and coordinate community outreach and advocacy activities
• Provide cross-functional support in CESG and SUSS activities

Job Requirements

• At least 3-5 years' work experience
• Graduate degree with strong people, administrative and logistics skills
• Prior experience in social science research and/or evidence-informed community-based projects
• Good research and analytical skills, with field experience and familiarity with methodological approaches and data analysis
• Able to effectively manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines - prior experience in project and resource management
• Able to work collaboratively in a team to achieve desired programme results
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills suited to different audiences
• Takes initiative and good at problem-solving
• Meticulous and responsible, especially in producing high-quality work
• Prior experience in event planning and communications is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Designing surveys – Ensure the operational feasibility and research validity of questionnaires.
• Executing surveys – Assisting or managing a team of interviewers / surveyors, allocating quotas and controlling output per interviewer. This includes conducting surveyor briefings, in-depth interviews (IDI) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
• Quality control – entails recalling, editing, coding and processing of questionnaires.
• Analysis & report writing – Use of SPSS for data analysis, report writing, presentation deck making and dashboard design
• Project coordination – Coordinating between teams and with clients to keep a project on time and in compliance with quality standards. Candidates with strong multi-tasking abilities preferred to ensure multiple projects at different stages can be run simultaneously to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree in Social Sciences (e.g., Psychology, Sociology) of Business (e.g., Consumer Research) is strongly preferred. Candidates who have undertaken research modules would be at an advantage (e.g. Sampling methods / Qualitative research methods / Quantitative research methods).
• Confident individuals with the ability to communicate / speak / write well.
• Individuals with excellent CCA records demonstrating leadership experience/management are preferred.
• Team players who are able to work within and across departments are preferred.
• Exposure to research fieldwork (i.e. internships / school modules / part-time work / survey jobs) is a plus.

Job Description

IC Designer, designing high frequency circuits targeting for transceiver applications, employing CMOS technology. The candidate needs to come up with novel architecture with speed, power, and area advantage compared to existing architecture.

The job also includes circuit design, pre and post-layout simulation, mask layout and PCB testing.

Qualifications

Job Description

A Research Assistant is needed to help organize research project, laboratory and equipment management, arrange for group meetings and activities and provide technical support on electronics for research. He/she will be required to conduct independent and collaborative research in the field of neurological and biomedical devices under guidance of the principal investigator.
