The NUS Centre for International Law (CIL) is inviting applications for a one-year Research Fellow position to contribute to the development and research of the International Dispute Resolution (IDR) programme. Candidates with experience in public international law, including in international tribunals such as the International Court of Justice, are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in coordinating and running research projects
• Work closely with collaborators and third party service providers in conducting research
• Help with data collection for projects related to regional geopolitics and geoeconomic trends and developments
• Conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative data analyses for projects and journal publications
• Research and writing of short reports on specific developments, trends, patterns in regional affairs
• Actively contribute to preparation of manuscript drafts for peer-reviewed journals
• Undertake any additional duties as required by the supervisor

Job Requirements:

• Masters degree in related field
• Extensive media experience as well as the subject interest (Southeast Asian/East Asian politics and/or international relations)
• Demonstrated experience in research writing through publications in Asian politics, screen writing, research and journalism
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience in quantitative data analysis using relevant statistical tools (e.g. SPSS, AMOS) will be preferred
• As this is a research role, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills will be preferred. Given the research scope, being fluent in English and knowing Mandarin will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee and manage IT operations to support corporate and research functions.

Postdoctoral Scientist position

A postdoctoral scientist position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Leslie Beh at IMCB.

The Beh lab seeks to develop cutting-edge CRISPR-Cas technologies to uncover the biological functions of RNA modifications. Dysregulation of these modifications has been linked to cancer, neurological disorders, and metabolic disease. We will determine the mechanisms by which RNA modifications and CRISPR-Cas systems operate by drawing upon diverse techniques, including protein engineering, biochemical reconstitution, genomics, and cell-based experiments. This is an administrative position in the Research Office. The Research Office supports grant management, research agreement review, the Departmental Ethical Review Committee and other research administrative functions.

Duties & Responsibilities
Working under the direction of the Vice Dean (Research) and the Manager of the Research Office, the Senior Executive/Assistant Manager will be part of the team to support the core duties of the Research Office:

a) Grant Administration
- Advise researchers on grant guidelines and requirements.

- Be the point of contact between researchers and various administration departments to support the management of research projects.

c) Departmental Ethics Review Committee (DERC) Secretariat

Qualifications
